Hey, is it too late to add Violet and that toy soldier that's tagging along with Franky?

Well, to those who still scoffed at Jinbe joining, the final confirmation that he will join was supplied. His friend Hack mentioned that Jinbe has a dream: for friendship between fishmen and humans, as most of us suspected. Now the only question is when he'll be joining.
I appreciate that you still have hope but I still say no.
Honestly, I also get the impression jinbe won't be joining anytime soon. Setting aside that jinbe is still too strong and his bounty apparently well larger than luffy's the strawhats are getting further away from fishman island every day. More so, jinbe is still the captain of the fishmen pirates and probably still has a lot of work left to do considering that as the nation's most powerful military asset (even if not officially) he is still far more powerful than FI entire military force. So he is probably the one that will end up looking after the newly integrated fishmen and if anything ever goes wrong with the treaty with BM (which is bound to happen soon) he is the first one that will have to protect FI from pirates.
Jinbe has all the markings of becoming a Straw Hat:
1) A dark past where someone he cared for died? Check (twice if you go with Fisher Tiger and Queen Otohime).
2) A powerful fighter. Check.
3) A dream. Check.
4) He's been invited by Luffy. True, he didn't accept at first, but he said when they meet again, he would join. I don't think he meant they would meet on Fishman Island. He's going to find them.
Face it, short of Jinbe being killed, he's joining the Straw Hats.
I'll accept it when it happens and I don't believe he has that Straw Hat spark that they have with Robin being the exception. I look for certain things in their personality such as being a bit laid back, and crazy. I must also point out that having a goal isn't sufficient any I don't believe he's the first person to have a dream/goal since the time skip but if they mention it within a flashback i'll take that person into high consideration.
I am wondering why people still mention Jinbe going back to FI in order to protect it. The Neptune Family is planning to promote their plan to emigrate to the surface in the next reverie that is just coming up. Jinbe´s presence on or even near FI would pretty much screw with that plan because he is one of the most notorious figures in the One Piece world, harboring a known criminal would worsen the relation between the World Government, which obviously has to sanction the plan, and Ryuugu Kingdom. Besides, FI has the sea kings, whose might under water should even surpass the strength of Jinbe, for protection now. Furthermore, Jinbe has been depicted as a man who keeps his word, what makes you think that he will not be able to keep his word to Luffy, especially considering that Jinbe is obviously aware of FI´s current situation.
The only possibility of Jinbe not joining is his death in my opinion but you yourself know how likely it is that Oda kills off a character whose death would have no meaning in the story besides creating a sad moment.
[QUOTE=EddyBob15;3407812]Jinbe has all the markings of becoming a Straw Hat:
Sanji (don't remember manga mentioning his dead parents)Quote:
These three fight the lowest tier opponents, usually. they're in no way powerful, even if they are capable.
Robin. Luffy only said yes to her joining, he never invited her to join.Quote:
Luffy's also invited many people who didn't join.
I'm not saying Jinbei won't join, I think and hope he will. I'm just saying you shouldn't use rules to determine whether someone will join or not, especially whether they're a good fit or not. Vivi was a good fit for SHP but she didn't join because of responsibilities.
Robin didn't join officially until the Ennies Lobby arc though.
No one can for sure say that someone is joining or not, mentioning that it may not happen is not really needed, is it?
"Rebecca may join." "No, she might not." :P
Rebecca is quite frankly much like another margaret plotwise... I don't think she will join honestly, it does not seem right. At least so far we don't know if she has the strength to even be a strawhat so far.
