I don't care about the general pacing, but there is one thing that makes the Anime of OP nearly unbearable for me nowadays. For weeks and weeks we got no episode which didn't consist of at least 2-3 Minutes of Random Fishmen standing around screaming or just staring in horror. I also don't have a general problem with the makes wanting to catch the general atmosphere of terror and panic. But all those fishmen are drawn so simple, so uninspired. I know we got to see a lot of Marines who look like each other, but those fishmen... it's just pick a color, add a random shaped mouth with spiky teeth and add some random positioned gills or fins. In the latest episode we had nearly one minute of fishmen standing around in front of that den den mushi while others ran behind them. This anime feels like it is made with the common thought of reducing the production costs as much as possible. Ok, I reread the whole manga about 3 times so i now what happens.. but that alone shouldn't make me skip 1/2 of each episode because it's often just 2 pages of manga dragged for minutes.
Hmmh... The episode was pretty well-paced. I managed to watch it without skipping anything. But who would have thought that Toei just screws around with the plot order and shows in this episode parts of chapter 642 after Hody's flashback which came up in chapter 644? @_@
Gonna steal your thunder today Cobra.
I have to say...I'm not happy.
That was a pretty intense episode. But you know, the Manga made much more sense.
Rettoooo hawkkk!!! No need to say more.
You know, if the Gum Gum Red Hawk was that powerful underwater, imagine how strong it might be on land.
I think they did a good job with Red Hawk, at the very least, it looked good. They even did it like how I imagined it to be: with an image of Ace "punching" along with Luffy to show clearly that this is Luffy's tribute to his brother. Not bad at all.
Six or seven more episodes for Big Mom's crew to debut. Hang in there!
I'm more looking for the moment when
Don't spread wrong information. :P
What's up with these animators who keep making Luffy lose to Hordy?! Seriously, it was just painful and shameful to watch in this episode. >.<
