I hope not lol. I could see the current events as a metaphorical dream though, a rest from ichigo's inevitable fate as an overly powerful being who at his best transcends the inherent limits of puny ant-like shinigami/hollows.
I think it is a dream too. Ichigo acting too strange and silly. New characters and people he don't know popping up here and there. Ishida having a cell phone.
It can't be a dream ... Not even Kubo would troll us this hard. I mean what 3-4 chapters now of this "dream" ??
Isn't it obvious? Ichigo is in limbo. He can no longer tell if it is real or if he's dreaming. Where is Leonardo DiCaprio when you need him?
The way i see it (someone said this before me) Ichigo is dreaming in the sense that hi's real life is not being human but a shinigami. So hi's life as a human is but a dream and hi's shinigami life is telling him to wake up, rukia and the rest in that link up in the OP are probably his shinigami self 'talking" to him in a meteforical way or something.
I don't think he's dreaming. Isshin wen through the same thing after he lost his powers. I don't think Isshin would want Ichigo to gain the final getsuga if it would put him in coma for a year. He would have told Ichigo the consequences of losing your powers if that was the case.
I think his dreams have something to do with his powers returning. Ichigo was to powerful for his powers to completely leave. If Isshin's powers returned Ichigo's could do the same.
Even though Isshin's powers came back when he realized his son was a shinigami so he could have gained his powers back when he chose to.
I think it's unlikely,but it is possible...
we dont know if isshin used the FGT or how he lost his powers until kubo starts his story.
there is a major chance isshin never used FGT n had his powers surpressed by urahara.
as for topic i doubt kubo bring out the dream idea. kubo is showing what ichigo is like been normal for once n how he copes with friends family n himself after been different.
ITS A DREAM!!! FFFFUUUUUUU-
I really don't think Kudo would go in with such a approach, I mean 17 months of a illusion/dream.....seems too much.
If this was say a week or two after Aizen's defeat, I'd be all tinfoil hatting myself.
Hope not Arc is getting good.. and it would be strange with scenes without ichigo like Ishida and Orohime talking alone if it is ichigo's dream...
It will be good if it dream and then ichigo will wake to find the whole world on fire and captain Aizen as the new king lol
After thinking about it,it may be some kind of vision, that will explain Isshin past, and when he wake up,Aizen would already be free, and that would be the final arc...it wouldn`t be that bad,if it turned out that way.
