....I don't know either. Maybe the rankings are just messed in the Survey Corp? XD.
Nah, it's probably because their rankings matter on what role they play the best in the SC. The SC after all is just a small group. Or Japanese ranking system is different from what we know of....XD
Well she also is in charge of all their titan-related research so she probably has her own budget for that, or discretion over the military's budget. On top of that, people have pointed out she and Mike (next strongest fighter after Levi) are seen riding by Erwin's side. Also, Erwin is seen discussing strategy with her (in the forest), and going by their conversation, it couldn't have been the first time, so... yeah...
Idk how everyone else feels but I'm getting a "zombie story" vibe from attack on Titan.
Hasn't it always been like that?
Like from the moment you've started a couple of chapters in the manga?
Not exactly... I never once thought that titans were zombies. Even when Eren came back, he wasn't a zombie per se he just had a cool power. What makes me think of zombies is all these new things that are popping up recently. What first made you think it was a zombie story?
Also I just get the vibe; I still have yet to hear of another zombie story were the zombies aren't decaying; where you can turn into them; where they are huge; and where the are remote control. x)

What made me get the zombie vibes? I guess the way Titans act themselves e.g. humans being their food, the way they move, being mindless/stupid-looking, etc. It's like they're enlarged zombies(minus the decay and stuff of course). And then Chapter 38, when Connie went back to his village. That pretty much confirms the zombie feel to me. XD
Also, the situation is slightly similar to a zombie apocalypse. Like fighting for survival and 'the one that's actually going to make humanity extinct is humanity itself' idea.
You know, for whatever reason I kinda thought that the titans behavior reminded me of babies... Very sadistic ones though.... I'm surprised I never caught on to the whole zombie thing! Oh yeah, chapter 38 did it for me too. Once I saw that I flipped xD
Yeah I noticed that too!! Jeez I can't wait to find out what the walls could be for. If this is truly supposed to be reminiscent of a zombie story, I think it will be my favorite non-traditional zombie story I know of.
There was something i was thinking about.
In Chapter 10 Eren´s father says in the flashback :"...you must reconquer wall maria"
But his father left before the wall was destroyed.
And since he left he is missing.
So he could never say somehting like this to eren.
How could his father know about the fall of the wall?
1. He knew about the plan to destroy the wall Maria from the titan shifters or from another source.
2. It´s just a telling error...
Please correct me if i am wrong
Come to think, was it ever explained what happened to Eren's belt?
Cause I remember that:
A - Reiner told Eren to check his belt the night before.
B - Keith noted there has never been a malfunction like that.
Anyway, because of that convo, I wonder about that possible sabotage too sometimes. If the story loops back around to the beginning again at some point, it would be interesting to get some more perspective on whether that was truly a fluke.
I was suspecting that as well but I found the thought a tad stupid that Mikasa can just sneak into the boys sleeping Quarters and manipulate Erens Belt without waking up anyone.
Besides, I quote Keith:
The part that ensures Eren's head wouldn't hit the ground is the part that was damaged.Quote:
Sounds a lot like:Quote:
Those fixtures are very tough. Not even a Veteran and potential former Recon Corps Commander ever heard them being damaged.
