Is no one reading this manga? I find the progression of this manga really great. The storytelling isn't overdone due to some superfluous events. This manga has a nice pace and it is getting pretty interesting. Magi looked awesome and serious when he handled that magical staff. I hope that we can expect more to come
I have read the first Chapter, which was very nice. But the slowing scanlation was my problem >.>
based on what i saw here on the description, it doesn't sound to be anything amazing , at least for me , but it sounds to be something good and interesting and because of that i started searching for it on Google and on mangafox , although they say that the years of release is 2009 it has only 15 chapter out
I don't really like to wait much more time for a manga new chapter , the ones that i read are out every week and they get scanned pretty fast. waiting so much time for it to be scanned takes all the fun, because with the time we start to forget the thinks about it and then the enthusiasm decrease
i read Giant Killing , 29 chapters out about a month ago , and i saw that it was scanned the 30th chapter but right now i already am not much close to the story, although on that time i found it interesting!
You should definitely give it a chance because within three months the first 14 chapters have been released. That is per month more than 4 chapters which means that this series is scanlated regularly. You will like it. In the beginning it might look childish but it has an interesting concept with a lot of potential. Sometimes there's a serious tone in it like in HERE
okay you managed to convince me ,i am definitely going to read it and i hope i will like it
already read 8 chapters and it is not being something extraordinary but definitely good

i like it, its pretty good, there like 7 vol raw,
does anyone know where to download it
When I first read this manga I thought I would read the adventures of exploring dungeons and collecting genie. But after the first dungeon, I waited and waited, and guess what, they never enter the dungeon again.
One thing is quite annoying when reading this is in one of the arc where Aladdin stranded in the grasslands and met nomadic Mongolian-like tribe. He encouraged them to throw away their dignity and more concerned with life. To receive colonized by other nations rather than risking their lives for dignity and independence. On the one hand this may be seen how the main character see life more important than anything else.
But whether he can guarantee that after they change their lifestyle and become colonized peoples under other nations, nations rulers will appreciate their lives? Seeing how their behavior before, I doubt they will be treated as equal. The tribe even had to change their lifestyle which was originally nomadic become live in permanent house.
Is it a better lifestyle? By making them gave up their values and forced to follow other's value and way of life?
The author seems to anti slavery but pro colonialism.
hum this mangas is no bad, the beginning is a bit boring but after chapter 14, the plot really start to move. im looking forward for the chapter 18. the first dungeon was interesting.
Just read the first 4 chapters and this really has a nice beginning, the main character is very likable in my opinion and while reading it I wondered what others think about him, it's strange that that manga is rather high in terms of location on the TOC yet only the last 3 volumes were in oricon with 2 ranking at 35k and the last one being 8 ranking in at 50k, maybe there will be further improvement next volume and with it a wikipedia page for it.
A problem though is that there is about 90 chapters since it's out for almost 2 years now and only 18 chapters scanned :\
Well I hope it would get a better exposure
MyAnimeList states that this manga run in Shounen Sunday (monthly). This means that the manga at most would have about 30 chapters. It also means that the chapters are very short though (only 19 pages).
Just started reading this, and I've only read 4 chapters. I think the whole thing about "dungeons" is awesome, so I hope much of the plot would be around those. I also like the protagonist a lot.
Thanks for clearing that up, Estranho.
How come this manga isn't more known than what it is?
In my opinion it's a quite good manga. Clearly on level with many well-known series.
How is the scanlating status of Magi now? Is someone doing it?
Ready the 17 chapters that is out btw, and I like the manga a lot. It's got an interesting plot, some interesting characters and nice art. Especially the protagonist is a good character - Pretty funny too.
I just read a new batch of this manga. Underestimated manga which should get more attention imo. The story is very interesting and the pace is pretty decent. I look forward to more revelations later on but it is clear that Aladdin isn't a single magi, yeah?
I also wonder if the true alibaba has had some influence on alibaba. I can't believe that they are the same. My guess would be that like Sinbad has his common role, someone has that common role too
