This thought just struck me...remember what Hinata said about not following Naruto anymore; instead she'd walk side by side with him just like everyone else. I think this is a sign that she doesn't like him like that anymore, she wants to be her own 'strong rock', and as for Sakura; she still has feelings for Sasuke so I don't see Naruto x Sakura taking place, nor do I see Naruto x Hinata.
- Remember what Kishi said in his reviews a couple years ago? - "I don't really understand women too well myself"
- I think Kishi's just leaving the flooor open to whoever gets to Naruto first after him and Sasuke fight will end up being his wife, atleast that's how I see it.
- As for the Rookie 11, none of them will die in this war, nor will Kakashi, or Gai. I mean really this isn't even a war...it's like a Ninja Mission...without the Ninja in the Mission it's a ninja fight without the hiding...it's just straight up guerrilla warfare.
I don't doubt, even for an istant, that Hinata would love Naruto even if the guy would try to kill her. Now, though, her feelings aren't akin to blind love, but a love where she and Naruto are equals; before that, it would've been Naruto as a dominat figure, while Hinata would be in the background.
Now Hinata wants to walk not beside him, as a follower, but at his side, holding his hand, as an equal.
Itachi said so himself, Yondaime could be Hokage not because he was all alone, but because he had Kushina at his side, and all the village aknowledged him.
Very much like all that "eye talk" when Naruto saved Hinata a while back, Hinata could see in Naruto's eyes that he was the real one, and Naruto could see in Hinata's eyes that she was blaming herself because she was saved by Naruto, with Naruto saying that he was saved by Hinata, and that she wasn't weak at all.
Hardly a romantic development, but it tells us that Hinata and Naruto's connection run deeper than all the others ( just saying, Neji, Kiba and Shino couldn't tell at all if he was the real one ).
Still it is a Shounen, so I wouldn't be too much surprised if the thing will not be resolved, and remain vague. It would be a suicide though if Naruto choses Sakura
Naruto's relationship with Hinata is different than his one with Sakura. It's subtle, rare, and very little is said between the two, but they still manage to understand each other. Naruto became Hinata's protector as early as the chunnin exams by defending her honor during the written exam and vowing to defeat Neji. Hinata returns the favor by cheering up Naruto before his battle with Neji. The next time you see the two Naruto's going six-tails after her death, but not for the deaths of Kakashi or Pa-Frog. Kishi keeps lobbing things along with Naruto and Hinata, implying "something" is there but he doesn't develop it at all. It's very akward, and while Kishi keeping advancing the line of Hinata connecting to Naruto, it won't mean anything unless Kishi draws a line connecting Naruto to Hinata. There was a hint of this the last time the two met about Naruto understanding Hinata's mood and consoling her weak self-esteem, but that is a far cry from loving somone. The connection has yet to be made, and with the little time that is remaining, it's likely gonna be very unfulfilling for Naruto or Hinata fans.
The chance for this pairing continues to slip. With Naruto realizing that Sakura won't return his feelings in a way he'd like and Sakura still hung up on Sasuke I just don't see this happening. Kishi has had ample opportunity to have Sakura fall for Naruto, but he's just not doing it. This approach diverges from the typical shounen manga which is why people are having a hard time accepting it, but there it is. While Naruto and Sakura both care for each other I just don't see romance sparking between these two. The real odd thing here is that we don't see Naruto's thoughts on this subject very often in Part II, which is odd since he's the main protagonist. However, this may be because Kishi didn't want to spill the beans too early and destroy this hotly contested love triangle. Sells more books.Quote:
The only reason this is given any weight is because people don't like Hinata's personality and rarity. Additionally, people are disgusted by Sakura's antics. They're praiying for some Deus Ex Girlfriend to appear and sweep Naruto and the fans off their feet. Ain't gonna happen. Get over it.Quote:
Sasuke isn't going to wind up with a storybook girlfriend. He has broken all of his ties to people. To imagine that one would instantly form at the end is wishful thinking. Sasuke will need to start over reforming the ties with those that he broke in the past. How successful and believable will depens on how skillful Kishi is. I don't have high hopes for this but i think it can be done. Sasuke may try to reform connections with Sakura and Kain but Sakura is the more likely candidate of the two.Quote:
With all the foreshadowing of Naruto and his generation accomplishing what their predecessors could not, I find this unlikely. I think Sasuke will find redemption and reunite with Sakura and Naruto. Things will be different between the three but they will be together. It could go diffferently but Kishi would have to make it extremely believable. He may be up for the task.Quote:

when she saw sakura crying for sasuke's behaviour.
Personally, I don't see anything of real significance about him looking at Hinata. Unless there were little hearts where his pupils should have been which I didn't notice, it was just a look. Maybe I'm in denial(I'm not a huge Naruto/Hinata fan), but since I'm like 98% certain Naruto and Hinata are going to get together, I'm not sure what I would be in denial about.
I think jdw is 100% correct. To get a real sense of solidity out of this we are going to need Naruto's feelings to come out. For Naruto to step out and declare to us all, and hopefully that Hinata too, that she is special to him. That he loves her. Sure, he saved her and gave her some words of encouragement but list of people he's done that for is HUGE. With her declaration that she will stop "following behind him" and instead "walk by his side" it's clear that she's not going to sit idle any longer, she'll get her answer. Fact is, Naruto is long overdue on giving her that answer; and I hope the next time she sees him she literally chokes it out of him if necessary.(She's earned that IMO)

I think Sakura pushes the Naru/Hina narrative more than Naruto does. She finally gets a suitor not named Rock Lee but puts him off because she's got someone she likes and starts thinking of Sasuke. It's so late in the game, I couldn't imagine her switching now. She's putting the kibosh on any potential hook up with Naruto herself so Hinata benefits.....and I'm glad.
The thing is that I just can't imagine Sasuke and Sakura as a couple. They doesn't suit each other at all. Besides Sasuke was always annoyed by girls like Sakura. I think just she simply isn't the type he likes. Possibly he likes the girls like his mother. And his mother is way to different from Sakura.
Are you kidding me? Naruto and Hinata will never happen, it's ridiculous. I dont accept it. (Hands over my ears and humming) lol
i would LOVE To see sakura wind up with rock lee, just for the comedy relief
and i guess sasuke could wind up with karin even though he tried to kill her .....
Actually, the only time she talked about a boy was when she said that Sasuke was cute, or something like that...
It was during the Chunnin exam... And it might have been only the anime, I'm not sure...
I was sold on the LeeXTenten ship when I saw that page:
I just think that Lee needs some love, and I doubt it would come from Sakura.
And Tenten as always been one of my favorite character, so I definitely want them to end up together!
