Someone else (explain)
i am sure there is a thread about this already, and i realize this is a shounen type anime/manga
just curious to see who you guys think ichigo will wind up with at then end if their will be a romantic relationship at all
if there is a thread about this already moderators feel free to move this thread or post to that thread
I don't think he will...he is just a close friend to Rukia, there hasn't been any sign from either of them....the little one with had from Orihime before the departure to HM was backed up with some new scenes with Inoue during the Fullbring arc....but again Ichigo hasn't shown any sign of being interested in her....
Love on first sight might happen though...who knows, but I think with the last arc wrapping up the series(I think) Kubo isn't really interested in getting around Ichigo's romantic side...
It won't be Rukia, Renji is going to be with her. It will be Orihime, most definitely.
Probably be with orihime

ok so let's see all possible romances with Ichigo (and my thoughts)
Rukia - maybe, we don't know what they really think about each other
Rangiku - doubtful, would be too under dressed for Ichigo
Yoruichi - very doubtful, if it did happen Soi Fon would assassinate Ichigo
Soi Fon - no chance, has lesbian worship of Yoruichi
Lisa - no chance, is a lesbian
Chizuro - no chance, has lesbian worship of Orihime
Ururu - doubtful, they don't see each other
Orihime - possibly, but Ichigo doesn't "see" her
Tatsuki - possibly, known since toddlers, Orihime may hold her back
Hiyori - very doubtful, would be violence non stop
Riruka - doubtful, she ran away because of what she was a part of
Unohana - no chance, he would do everything she says
Momo - no chance, would be pi$$ed about him beating Aizen
Ikumi - not sure, there's something there, they seem close
I think ichigo will end up with no one.
Other than the fact he seems to have a bromance with Renji- (imho)
I suspect he will not get the chance to pass his "seed" along in this manga.
Also, because he is a virgin, (speculating wildly) that would mean he could be the next soul king. I mean what is more powerful than teenage hormones. that is the very essence of reiatsu. lol j/k
Kubo said he didn't wanna focus on the romance aspect too much, but he does show bonds between characters.
Now, wether it's romantic or not, is entire fan opinion for now. Like Gin x Rangiku. They're mostly seen as being in love. One wouldn't be wrong to think that. And some just feel they loved eachother, but as best friends, who've lived together and been together for years. You wouldn't be wrong to think that either.
I don't care for IchiRuki. But, can't fight the truth. Truth is, Ichigo is not that close to Orihime. Seems he just puts up with her if anything.
Ichigo is a thug who loves to fight, and Orihime just doesn't have a fighter spirit like all his other "friends, Neliel, Rukia and the rest of the shinigami.
His human "friends" he just deals with for lack of anything else, or pity (Keigo). I'm sure he has care for them. But he doesn't seem tat close with them. He'd protect them, and I am sure he does care. but also, Ichgo seems to have a bit of a hero complex. He wants play the hero, and fight.
When his powers were gone, along with the shinigami, he was depressed because he couldn't fight, missed the action, and Rukia.
So, his human friends aren't enough to make him happy, that includes Orihime. The first time he smiled in the last arc was when the shinigami appeared, along with his power.
Ichigo likes power. So, women with power, and combative natured. Rukia fits.
As a "kid" Nel seems to annoy Ichigo to death. But, once she shows power against Nnoitra, he's in awe of her, and ignores Orihime in favor of her.
So, Rukia, or Neliel at the very least. No other women stand a chance.
I think this arc would be good for Orihime to get over her crush on Ichigo. Seems like a crush. Like Sakura, on Naruto, she likes that Ichigo can be her knight in shining armor to her princess.
Ichigo doesn't want a princess. He wants a fellow warrior. Someone who's equal with him, not overshadowed, and someone who can pump him up. Whenever he's felt crappy, Orihime has done nothing but get sad too, and say nothing to help him.
Rukia is the one to always pick him back up, and pump him up.
And whenever trouble strikes, Orihime cries for Ichigo. She never fights for him, and is completely dependent on him.
Like Orihime's little fantasy last arc.
Doesn't seem like love. Seems like a girl daydreaming about an actor she has a crush on.
She's bonded with Ishida more than Ichigo. And unlike Ichigo, Ishida seems to like her innocence and sweetness. And seems happy to be her knight. Ishida doesn't live for battle, unlike Ichigo. So, he can appreciate the human part of his life as well, and share that with Orihime. Ichigo is not happy outside of his shinigami-hood.
In HM, when they decide to split up, Ichigo is worried about Rukia.
When Chad goes down, Ichigo keeps going.
When Rukia goes down, Ichigo turns to go to her.
So, Orihime comes 2nd to Rukia.
Rukia is the only one that can pump Ichigo up if he's upset. He seems to love her speeches to him.
He gets his resolve back, from her words.
In HM, he smiles at her speech of friendship
Then there's her most recent one to him.
Though I don't really like the latter. Ichigo doesn't interest me, as a character, so neither do his romantic relationships.
Now, I can't say IchiRuki is definately romantic, but I cant say it isn't either. Kubo said they were more than friends. So, that puts Rukia ahead of Ichigo's other nakama. She's the closest relationship he has with anyone.
But, Kubo also said "Less than lovers" could be less than that because neither has made any outright advances to classify their relationship as such. They definately care about eachother. But, I don't think either of them focus on romance too much. If anything romantic happens, it'd be spontanious. I don't think either is sitting around thinking "I wanna date them, when do make my move."
For now, they can be comfortable with one another, and know they can count on the other. Everything's out in the open with them. Nothing is an act. They aren't afraid to argue or disagree with eachother, it just brings them closer, as it's more to understand.
So, I can't say if it's romantic or not. But, I believe Kubo intends to show IchiRuki are very close, and Ichigo's most influential bond.
With Orihime's feelings. It's hard to say. Is it true love, or simply infatuation that she misinterprates as love.
Some women are like that. They may care for a man, but sometimes it's an infatuation, but it feels like deep love for them. Sometimes, people themselves get their own feelings on that mixed up.
