I sincerely pray that the Japanese people might recover from this incident. I don't mean a fast recovery because it will definitely take time, but I pray for their gradual recovery little by little to happen.
For those who have no idea of what is the level of this disaster, check the video from NHK World: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=q4KRAKufHL4
How do you survive a 10 meters wave? I was frozen while watching it.
And it destroyed areas where they were growing food (it seems).
Well, I heard they were mostly prepared for it so I hope there is no so many deaths. My deepest condolences for those who died.

Does anyone know how much damage it caused to other regions, like Kantou and Chuubu?
if this thing has happened in my country the whole city were destroyed in minutes...
this quake was thousand time stronger than the one who stroke l'Aquila. (And the city was nearly erased).
Who cares about the manga?!?
We have to care about the people.
We are talking about a catastrophe
sorry for my roughness
Repeating, no country is ready for such strong earthquake.
If someone can't have an idea of the destruction from the video, take a look at this:
This is a residencial area (according to online newspaper). You see those small suqares in the image (top mainly)? Those used to be houses.
"Thank you. Kaitani Shinobu is intact."
that's from an italian journalQuote:
My sincere condolences for those who lost their friends and family members..
Just read that over a hundred bodies washed up on the beach... damn.
Japan is ready for earthquakes, but you can never be 100% ready. But I'm thankful that they were at least a little prepared. It could have been so much worse if they weren't as prepared as they are, and if they didn't have the capability to mitigate a disaster of this scale/nature! ><
The tsunami will probably hit some parts of Philippines, Indonesia (last I heard, which was a few hours ago, there were some waves but not too big yet), USA (west coast)... I think Aussie and NZ will probably be affected as well... I just hope these countries won't be hit too badly, that they are as ready as they can be to handle the situation (and evacuate their people!!)!
Also, I hope there will not be any strong aftershocks in the days to come... Last thing Japan needs is more of where this came from
