Well this is interesting. Looks like we're getting a Miu Gaiden of sorts?
Ahh, so the arc is going to be about miu's origin. Based on that I would guess that this time they will investigate sho to find out the kuremisago. Sho told miu he would let her meet her dad so it is very likely they will investigate where is yami saiga stands. By doing that they will most likely eventually run into saiga and by extension kajima who strikes me as a particularly dangerous yomi. They should realize they know little about miu's mom soon enough and miu could be a member of the kuremisago. This sounds promising, there is bound to be a lot of plot development.
Funny how the elder suddenly is extremely protective of miu. I guess he realized things were getting serious as kenichi is no longer unwilling to make a move. In the past he made lighthearted promises and jokes involving the two of them being together as kenichi would have been too shy.
Well,i belive it was already hinted few times what Miu's mother was killed by her father in clash between two martial art masters. And i gues it's exactly case Miu was that kind of child(kuremisago) and father wanted her in Yami and mother was opposite and thats how this happened...
..Oh,and i belive Elder tryed to stop hes son too but failed and was spared(thats why he always saying "Kenichi you must defeat me to be able to protect Miu")
The manga has not hinted saiga killed miu's mom, the manga has shown it as fact lol.
The chapter was deffinetly interesting. Now we are going to get some more revelations about Miu, her past, Kuremisago and posibly her Mother and One Shadow Furinji Saiga.
Also I hope Kenichi will grow mentally and as a martial artist in this arc pretty much.
better scan ^^
I hope that for now Saiga isn't stronger than Elder, but he might team up with someone to take him down. And that might be posible. I can actually see Elder beeint defeated by Saiga and Kushinada, though I hope this won't happen.
I wonder why they bothered to reintroduce the masters at the start again. I mean, it seemed like a waste of a few pages. From the last page however it seems that Elder is resigned to Kenichi and Miu's relationship.
I'm excited to see more about Miu's past - Kuremisago, Saiga, etc etc. It seems pretty obvious as already mentioned that Miu herself is a Kuremisago. Since they've been brought up, and called a "sect" (shuu = sect) it's also extremely likely that more of them will emerge later. Assuming Kuremisago are extremely strong due to their pedigree, they'll definitely be formidable enemies.
I also hope that Saiga isn't stronger than Elder. Elder has been hyped so much and shown to be so strong, for Saiga to defeat him would be just... Insane. Especially if eventually Kenichi, being the main character, will probably have to face Saiga. If this is a man who can fell Elder, Kenichi stands absolutely no chance.
I get the impression such introductions are standard in many manga. In this particular manga though the introductions are made at the start of each arc for some reason.... I guess they want to see if it is possible to progressively present the masters in a more exaggerated manner.
So this will be an arc about miu's parent ...seems quite intersting.. we will finally get to hear about the one shadow... hope we see his face too... from what they say we can guess that miu is also a kuremisago shuu
I don't think the elder seemed resigned but rather worried.
I think the introductions are done ever so often in long running series so new readers can pick up and get a general idea without going back 40 volumes. After all, if you're just a kid in Japan, you'd have to invest hundreds of dollars in old volumes to get up to speed if "reintroduction" scenes were absent... and I'm pretty sure not too many kids are willing to make that kind of investment for a single manga series that they've never read before.
