Forum News: Vote in the final phase of the Anime Awards 2014
Sahee is an odd one to place because she isn't a part of the martial arts world. She is human kindness personified. Walking around sweetly oblivious to all the dangers that surround her. It's hard for me to like her as long as she is stuck in that "damsel in distress" role but if she were to shift into more of a "pillar of emotional support" role for Shioon i think i could learn to like her.
Right now I'm quickly turning into a Sera fan. She delivers everything so deadpan that it's almost impossible to tell if she's actually joking when she says or does something...odd. Which makes for so many wonderfully awkward moments with Shioon.
Given a little more time she might just turn into my favorite because she's just so weird. Sosul and Jinie both kinda follow the Tsundere pattern. Sahee is a pretty classic girl next door or childhood friend. But I don't know where to begin classifying Sera.
All i know is that underneath her serene attitude is a really bizarre, and entertaining, personality.

I agree with you, Sera has impressed me as well. Its her overall personality, she looks more mature than the other two. In any case, I have never imagined Sahee to be a suitable match. The world Shioon is dragged into, she will only burden him.
I have also changed the name of the thread to accommodate more characters.
I have thought about this quite a bit actually. So here is my break down.
Sahee the first girl in the series that means anything to Shioon. She is a childhood friend. She is the main girl that all guys are clamoring for in school. She even surprises him by knowing his name or remembering him and then he ran away. Ok with that said from the first series I believe that her purpose in Shioon's growth is passed. He is fully in the Murim-in world. Unless the author surprises us all by Sahee actually being the #1 in SUC or her "sunsengnim" is another Murim-in that is trying to stay hidden and she actually has some skills. I think her purpose is finished. Shioon HAS to have someone that can fight next to him. Almost like Shiho with GMR and how they fought together. He went out of his way to expend more energy to save her. But she could fight and had some dirty things up her sleeves. Which I am sure most of you agree that Sahee does not?
Jinie she has more back ground and history and depth than any other single character outside of Shioon and GMR. I do not think that her purpose is to be with Shioon however. I think her final role will be as Sunwoo Clan Head. But that means Shioon would have to step down as Head. I think Shioon will give the medallion to Jinie. Jinie may have amorous feelings for Shioon and he is pining after her as his protector but what does that mean? Is it possible that they get together? Yes, but I really don't believe it to be so.
Sosul stuck in a little body. Enamored with Shioon and how he is different from other Murim-in. Has a crush on him even though he sees her as a little kid. If she gets her full body then there is a possibility. But what fighting powers would she have? Can she stand side by side with him. Would he be able to feel the way she does?
Sera which I am actually bidding for. She is calm and collected she has a grudge against GMR because he killed her master. However because Shioon is the Head of Sunwoo clan he basically has control over her and he doesn't even know it. That apron comment was awesome. I think she can fight with him. She is holding back her feelings because he benefits her. Who knows she could really be an evil witch and wants to kill him after he gets his ki center back. But my vote is for her.
Sera and Sosul should be added to the poll...
They will be added soon.
At first i was for Jinie, but now i think the most suitable women for Shioon is Sera. She's the only one who gave him a lot of support, a place to hide and who teach him.
the best choice for shiwoon is ofcourse seira. But shiwon is our kind boy down the allwy who is soft spoken to all the girls you will find (unless she is hunting him down) so far shiwoon more or less was attached to Sahee and after that Jinne, but Sahee more. so i think at the end we will see her to be shiwoons other half
Though currently the author seem to have forgotten about her existence, if this continues then i see jinne. But the best gal for him is seira
Although I really would prefer a pairing with Jinie, imo the chances of the story coming full-circle and Shioon ending up with Sae-Hee seems to be more probable.
Sae-Hee with Shion is like Nine-arts-Dragon with that teacher....
I think he needs a challange a strong woman that dares to oppose the strong him
a great story xD
One can argue Sae-Hee is a good partner for her. She is weak and needs protection. It can, sort of, motivate Shioon to be stronger.
For me, Jinnie is best for him. Sera looks too much a manipulator.
Sosul will come back and be cured and a knock out beauty. But the cure will unlock her new found unlimited potential. The two baddest Murim to ever walk the face of the earth.
Shioon who had a three yin block
Sosul who has a nine yin block
I think a fully developed Sosul would be the most suitable for Shioon, she'll be just as strong, same situation with the yin body/pill/learning martial arts at a later age, and she is actually smart but truly cares for Shioon and wouldn't manipulate him. The shock of seeing her fully developed body might get him to see her as a woman.... so far though, the only one he actually considers romantically is SaHee (he got jealous of JiGun). I guess the author could leave them just childhood friends if she turns him down or he decides it would be too dangerous for her to get involved with him.
Sosul will be the only one who would be able to stand as his equal and wouldn't need his protection so she would be the most "logical" choice, whether he'll actually like her is another matter. Right now SaHee is definitely leading as a romantic interest.
I also like Sosul the best, but there are quite a few complications. Whatever is required of her by the BFD in exchange for her healing may make that an impossibility. Also there is the fact that up to this point he thinks she was a child.
Despite that, there are quite a few things in her favor.
1. Her cynical side helps to balance Shi-woon's optimism.
2. She's bound to be crazy powerful eventually.
3. Her ties to the Sunwoo's previous head.
4. Shi-woon promised to take her to the amusement park.
5. We know she doesn't have any ulterior motives.
6. She is familiar with all the factions and backstabbing that goes on within the Murim (Though this one may not be necessary, seeing as Shi-woon is learning that stuff already).
This also depends on her growth spurt after her condition is healed. If she doesn't look her age I don't think he would look at her as anything but a kid.

I'm probably the only one that's completely unperturbed with Sera and the events with Shioon's mom. I think there is obviously a lot of healing to be done between that pair before anything is viable but the reality is, if your looking for someone who is talented in the areas Shioon is not, she's probably one of the best match-ups; and vise versa.
She's all about making decisions with her head as opposed to her heart and he's all about making decisions with his heart and not his head. Each provides what the other needs most.
Which is not to say the others can't provide something as well, I just like Sera's potential the most.
Jinie provides color and entertainment value as well as the potential to become something of a comrade for Shioon.
Sosul seems like a good character whose personality lies somewhere between Jinie and Sera. Who brings with her a lot of story elements.
Sahee seems like the character who would be most likely to drag Shioons gentle nature out of him if he ever starts sliding too far down the dark Nine-arts-Dragon path.
All of that is why I'm shamelessly rooting for "all of the above".
