It just dawned on me that D.Gray-man's 1 year anniversary of being in Jump SQ, November 2010, will conveniently be in the same issue as its 200th chapter! There better be an extra-long chapter and color pages to mark the occasion.
But don't get your hope up too high though.T_T

Does anyone thinks Hoshino might be in top condition soon and to our 200th chapter we get DGM back in weekly format without hiatuses?
Wow, I'm back after a week and there's 33 pages?
DGM going back weekly? I can only hope.
Hoshino is like a glass cannon though. You never know when she'll break. Right now I'm surprised that she went a year without any hiatuses (though she did publish that 20-page chapter...).
And I sort of like the idea of DGM being in SQ. Right now it's the most popular series in SQ based on sales, and it gets color pages and the cover every few chapters. ^^
Yeah but somehow the amount of content for a monthly chapter seems a bit lacking in comparison to some others, I can't picture making an entire episode of anime from a single chapter like in FMA for instance yet maybe I set the bar a little to high talking about a masterpiece like FMA
I think the reason 194 was only 20something pages was because Hoshino wanted it to be included in volume 20, which it was. She probably also wanted to leave that volume on that cliffhanger, so she really couldn't include much more in that chapter.
She might still be adjusting from weekly to monthly, who knows.
I have to agree, she doesn't put too much content in her chapters, it still feels like she is drawing for a weekly manga. I felt like ch. 196 could easily fit into SJ even though it has a few exta pages. It may take awhile for her to get used to monthly manga, hopefully she'll be able to adjust. She has been drawing weekly for years.
I also like DGM in SQ since it gets more attention, but I also miss looking foreward to DGM every week. But I got used to with no DGM for awhile after an-almost-year hiatus last year.
Hey guys... I was wondering about something... Do you think that the order knows about the truth of the second exorcist program? I mean, Leverier must surely know, as well as Renee and probably Fou. The last two will also know that Kanda knows the truth. However, does Bak know the truth? If so, then why is Kanda still called yuu by some people(eg lavi)? shouldn't they have found his real name and reunited him with his family?
why isn't marie listed among the survivors from alma's rampage? what happened to him after he was impaled? did kanda heal him again?
why is Kanda working for the order? (I would have killed everyone like alma)
Bak knows, he was the one who specifically asked Kanda for forgiveness because they were making the experiment again. See:
Komui knows too, remember when Renee went to introduce the thirds to Komui and Bak recriminates her?:
if you think about it, Kanda and Alma are exactly like Akuma: the body and sense of self (level 2 akuma) were created/developed over time, while the brain (akuma soul) were from another person. really, the only difference is that Kanda and Alma were synched with innocence, rather than dark matter. I think that if Alma's innocence has not been removed, it may
1) get activated by Crown Clown / sword of exorcism
2) activate on its own to remove Earl's dark influence
3) or reject alma and kill him (making him another fallen one)
But, i dunno. In the flashbacks, the innocence bacame (or at least looks like) part of alma's arm, so it's possible he was a parasitic type. But the same was for kanda, but he now has an equipment type. that's why idk if it has been removed.....hopefully that plot hole will be cleared up soon =)
