yes~, the first episode of dgm was very impressionable and the 2nd was hilarious
i guess you became an avid fan ->
buying the manga is costly for me, especially if it is going to span over 10 books *sobs*
so i just bought the novels, they'll last me longer, theoratically
it must be great having friends in real life to talk about dgm my friends at school probably hardly know what i do coz i'm not the most sociable person around *silently enters, silently leaves*
but i'm glad my cousins have the same interest in anime and manga too
for some reason, i'm suddenly wishing for dgm to become a ps2 videogame...
Hehe, yeah, it's great talking about Anime/Manga in real life but also in the net, like we do it now ^_^. So, you can meet people from other countries sharing the same interests, that's great. In school, I am also silent...relative. But when I am together with my friends, I can speak like a waterfall, talking my head off XD.
i always feel like having more to talk in one place rather than another, its a compensation
Does anybody know if d.gra-ma, is getting more popular on mangahelpers and manga readers?
here on mangahelpers the activity in this dgm-section has risen in the last 2-3 months (most likely because of the anime) i don't know about the japanese charts and all, but i would say it fairs pretty well for the "underdog" of the bigger WSJ series...
in general i would say that dgm fairs pretty good - otherwise i couldn't explain the german publisher to already have out 5 volumes and no sign of slowing down (2months/volume)... for a series that has 10 volumes out up till now that is pretty formidable (bleach took much longer to get to germany it's at vol 7 or 8 right now, naruto is only at vol 21 or 22... just to give you the picture on what that publishing speed means here ^^ )
so yeah, it's getting more popular from my observations ^^
the anime helped a fair bit for sure, i wanna see how well the first dvd will fair on the market... that could give even more boosts - or not.
To me...as long as Hoshino-sensei is driven to keep producing the manga, I'm more than happy even if D.Gray-man doesn't get the popularity that I feel it merits. My biggest wish is for it to keep becoming more awesome...I would never let popularity charts and statistics determine nor influence my passion for this manga.

that's why even though i read bleach, naruto, one piece, trc, (all of which are great mangas) the balance of the elements don't really appeal that much to me as in dgm
dgb will continue to be the best manga i ever read till now
Well I do not think or believe you can compare D.Gray-man to bleach and naruto. Okay both are shounen, but D.Gray-man seems to be more a shounen where you have to think about what you have read. Damned it is difficult to explain, but D.Gray-man is complex but not on a forced way compared to other shounen. Okay, for me it is good that D.Gray-man is still running though less popularity compared to other series. BUT Katekyo hitman reborn! and certainly D.Gray-man are shounen that are even or better then naruto or bleach for me. So that is why I hope it will gain more popularity, it deserves to be on top
I have to say D. Gray-man is one of my fav Manga I've ever read so far and it easily surpass Naruto or Bleach (which are also great manga but they slowly lose my interest >.<, something exciting has to happen again :P). Together with Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, DGM is my all-time-fav where my two most beloved Characters appear ^_^.
The popularity of DGM also won't change my opinion or love for it. Maybe it is even better to have a little community with 100% obsessed persons than a huge community with just 50% obsessed persons, when you know what I mean. The majority doesn't count as long as you love it by yourself (from the bottom of your heart like I do <3 <3 <3 )
Good news! DGM will be on the cover and will have a color page for Issue #10! Yay!

a dream comes true, a new colour page of DGM , so rare, coloured scans ;_; I am so happy.
It's true...akuma...I think they may be the enemies least discussed because they are just the "weapons" of the Earl. The interesting thing about akuma is that they are living weapons...it's scary when you think about all of the possibilities that they are capable of. I mean, we've seen the montrous gap between LV 2 and LV 3. It's incredibly great. Even the gap between LV 1 and LV 2 is something.Originally Posted by koenosaki
It must be true that the Earl has put limits on the power of the akuma somewhere...but even General Cross has come between akuma and the Earl transforming an Akuma's power into a non-mallicious one. Even the Earl doesn't have absolute control over them. He could be seriously betrayed...
Don't they usually do this for special events? I think it's probably the announcement of Krory's seiyuu and other anime news. Any other guesses?Originally Posted by Schwindelmagier
