As usual, discuss newest chapter here and speculate what will come next. This time (and probably next also) it's a joint release from Hox and Happy scans! and thanks to that we should get chapters in a more frequent matter.

Many people were complaining about farmland saga, saying it's boring, etc. but I think that after this chapter they will realize how great author Yukimura is and how great setup he has provided for his characters to strive and shine. For a second I thought we have another time-skip but fortunately it's nothing of the sort. This new character will bring out what's best about VS and it looks like we will see some great action soon.

Phew.First i thought that was a time-skip where Thorfinn massacared the whole family. Then i thought it was the Elder's flashback. But now it's all clear
Anyway, another great Vinland chapter with some stunning art.
By Gods, I just couldn't stop laughing when elder master's stomach rumbled and reactions of Thorfinn, Einar and Snake we're awesome. Yeah, this was in many other mangas before but It never gots me like in Vinland Saga. That start with slave was quite something, Yukimura shows us that he never dropped violence and It will be interesting if that slave encounters Thorfinn and/or Einar (together or separately... doesn't matter).
Yukimura really loves torturing us by keeping us on the short leash and not showing us when, or if, Thorfinn will fight again
I think pretty much everyone is expecting an escalation at some point?
Now, something will happen, that's for certain.
Now this is starting to get exciting! The escaped slave looks like a warrior, cuz he talks about his honor, and he know how to handle a blade. I would like to say that the person he is looking for is Thorfinn, but i don't think it is. I think it's a better chance it is Snake or even the elder master. It would be interesting if he met Thorfinn and Einar, and see what Thorfinn would do if is forced to fight in order to protect himself and/or Einar.
Funny, I also thought it was I time skip!
and I guess the author is dragging Arneis into this. I thought she was even less than a minor character but she was given this whole chapter- so... I don't think it'll be easy killing her off, after all.
Who do you guys think this escaped slave was out to see? the old man? will there be a confrontation?
The escaped slave lookes like an "Anti-Thorfinn" somehow
We might see Thorfinn assisting some of the Ketil farm warriors, that would be my guess. When the raging slave takes them on and overpowers them probably, he might step to their rescue and discover a reason for fighting, to defend people. Perhaps the slave kills them and then threatens somebody else who Thorfinn has to rescue, as a different version of it.
Glad its picking back up, was getting tired of Thorfinn's farm life.
interesting theory, kopta. that seems to be likely.
Or snake will notice Thorfinn's abilities once more, and with more conviction, as he did three years ago when Thorfinn was made fun of. Somehow that would have to have an effect.
I think we will see Thorfinn fight again quite soon though I do think it'll probably one of his tougher battles, not because of the strength of the escaped slave (though that could be a problem), but because he will be struggling with his newfound ideology of a more nonviolent approach. We will probably see him starting to head towards a fighting style very similar to his father's style.
and he ought to have become a bit slower, or something like that, because of lack of practice?
And in the fight against Snake (even though that has been some time already) he has proven that he still has remarkable reflexes. I doubt that they vanished.
We saw that character of him emerging two times, when Snake attacked him and when he punched down the worker who Einar was attacking.
Maybe he has overcome that now, maybe not. Then he might be in a deep conflict against himself. Or it comes like you said, and he is struggling on a purely conscious level, whether or not there is something such as justified violence (to defend others).
any news on chapter 75?
or does anyone has an idea when it will be released?
Afternoon Magazine in which Vinland Saga is serialized is being released 25th day of month. Scans leaks on the internet even sooner and Hox (scanlator) can be pretty fast so I think you can expect new chapter to be released between 23th and 30th of June.
