Fate is on my list for a while now but I can't bring myself to start watching it...
And for Kanon... Clannad is still a bit of an open wound so I'm not in the mood to watch something sad at the moment.
It just didn't feel like something I like. Never felt like "Oh god I have to watch the next episode now!".Quote:
1 - what pun are you talking about?
2 - Fate/Stay Night is sorta old looking and only fully enjoyable if you've played through the game.
They did make a 2010 version (2 OVAs) that recaps the series.
And of course they made Unlimited Blade Works and then Fate/Zero 1 and 2 which are up to par with graphics and sound.
3 - I understand about Clannad/Kanon - made me cry like a baby~
4 - About FMP, I just rewatched all of it about 2 weeks ago, and I do see how the first season is sorta slow and ~meh~.
The second season however has improved sound and visuals, and a much more action packed story line instead of the school oriented plot of the first season.
then if you feel like watching a Comedy-Oriented FMP, Fumoffu! is great!
The 1080p version looked pretty good though. I read that Kara no Kyoukai and the other two play in the same universe... That could be enough to make me wanting to watch it.Quote:
Maybe I will check it out.
At the moment I added Anohana to my list, though I doubt that is what i was looking for in the first place...
Is there anything else besides Claymore which could interest me?
Ya they do sorta run in the same 'universe' Type-Moon is behind them both -
There is a funny series called Carnival Phantasm that has a run of most of the Type-Moon series and characters and was HILARIOUS, especially if you had watched/played Fate/Stay Night and Melty Blood.
Looking at the highest rated (by you) on your MAL....I would personally recommend these~
- Jormungand (2 seasons)
- Higashi no Eden (2 sequel movies)
- Gosick (mystery/romance/detective)
- Elfen Lied (if you dont mind BLOOD and violence)
- Highschool of the Dead (Zombies)
- Saikano (dont watch this one until you aren't sad anymore, it's a tear jerker on the same level as Clannad and Kanon)
- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
- Air (I believe this is also near the level of Clannad/Kanon)
- I''s (Romance)
- Ichigo 100% (Romance)
- Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (awesome)
- Hachimitsu no Clover (Romance/Life very similar to Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo)(2 seasons)
- Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (hilariously epic)
- Nodame Cantabile (Music/Romance/Comedy)
- Love Hina (Comedic Romance)
Maybe I'm the weird one, but I thought the first season of FMP! was better than the second one, despite being longer, lol. It did have filler episodes and perhaps a bit dragged on, but maybe I was already bored entering the second season, haha. Still it was a great ride with FMP!~ :3
And if you didn't like it, fine. Claymore is your typical action shounen though, so that's definitely what you're looking for. It has a.... great start too XD Probably would have recommended you some of Coffee's choices too but none of them are what you asked for ("typical" action shounen). Well, Densetsu maybe. I dropped it after 3 episodes because I didn't enjoy it so I don't really know there.
My personal opinion is that Jormungand is rather average. Not bad but nothing all that great. It's okay, it has it's cool moments and some interesting characters but that's it. I think you might like Koko though
Higashi no Eden is more or less the same, watched all of it and while I didn't drop it, it never amazed me. The ending was disappointing too, I expected more. Ofc that's just my two cents.
TTGL (barely anyone uses the full name, just too long XD) is amazing, one of Gainax's best works. It has a really huge fanbase too and good Nuno is totally in love with the show
I can only recommend Durarara!! (didn't you watch that though? ), HOTD and Elfen Lied too. Especially Elfen Lied, though you better be in a relatively good mood for that too (lots of drama).
Too lazy to look for more recs atm, will do tomorrow or so
Thanks for your posts. I guess I give Claymore another chance.
By the way... Elfen Lied is already marked as watched on my list guys.
HOTD wasn't to my liking... Big boobies fighting zombies... I'm anything but a zombie fan.
I have TTGL on my PC... I wonder why I never watched it.
And I just saw Coffee's post and thought I could trust him HOTD is for some great action and the lulz but I understand your reasons for not liking it. Have you ever tried "The Walking Dead"? It's not an anime but that's how awesome zombie stuff is made, you should definitely give it a chance.
You just forgot I guess~
give LAW OF UEKI a shot....WOLF'S RAIN and HELLSING ULTIMATE too

SPEED GRAPHER,NOEIN,BOKURANO and SAIYUKI....
sorry, had to add some more...so many i could name
It will most likely be one that is in my MAL above.
Things I remember
there was a slightly romantic scene were 1 person said something embarrassing
in the background you hear "3....2.....1" in a funny sounding announcer voice and then one of their faces turns red and steams etc....
I've been trying to remember which series this is and have been actively looking through all the ones I have watched before in attempt to find it.
I'm looking for any anime series where the episodes are around 12 minutes long. Even though I have the attention span of a goldfish, I got through Yondemasuyo Azazel-san's two seasons and three OVAs really quickly. (This attention span problem is why I'm having trouble getting into anime recently.)
Genre and quality doesn't matter. I'm going to pick up Witch Hunter Robin again, and I just need something to act as a sort of buffer.
I could not guess this anime, but my friend asked me about an anime that had a boy/protagonist that got his powers from a Dragon and such ... the dragon helped him on a ques, no it's not Fairy Tail since we don't see the dragon, the anime was kind of old. Any idea on what anime it might be?
