Kakashi ftw. This is the man who was able to deduce deva pains ability in the middle of mortal combat and was going to kill him if robot pain didn't interfere. Like many have mentioned Kakashi will hide underground while a clone plays with Konan. Once he realizes her paper body he could wet her with a suiton and use his long range lightning dog to electrocute her ass. Kamui is also the idle finishing move on konan also as her paper body no matter how many pieces she is in will be sucked into the vortex which by tournament rules gives kakashi the victory.
i go with kakashi but barely it would not be as easy as some think i think with prep time konan can kill kakashi with the attack she used on tobi
Kakashi can't make oil jutsu. As far as we know, that's an ability reserved exclusively for Sages.Quote:
And people can't just say Kakashi's going to win because "Oh, he'll think of something." You need (well, you should) actually back up your arguments and give explanations as how he's going to avoid omni-directional attacks, in your face explosive tags (she doesn't even need the 600 Billion), attack her body even though his suiton and enton won't work on her, she is immune to physical attacks, and actually do serious damage to her with her divided body. Yes, the Sharingan will let him see these attacks but it won't give him the means to defend against them.
*sigh* Once again, suiton does not work on her. And the last time I checked, paper is an insulator so she can't be electrocuted. And can his dog even reach her? She can fly up as far as she needs or create walls of paper to take the attack.Quote:

Fanboy in me says Kakashi will win this.
The rational side of me says Konan has more chance, and it asks whether Kakashi can attack multiple opponents at once with any jutsu like Sasuke and Jiraiya can. Kakashi can't keep running from Konan's paper forever, and suiton looks to have no damage. Though, it would be interesting to see Kakashi use raiton on soaked paper and see what happens.
I find it hard to see Kakashi winning this because of Konan's ability. Though, if Konan's not good at genjutsu or gets caught in genjutsu like Danzou and Zabuza did without realizing it, which Kakashi can do, then Kakashi does have a chance as Konan wouldn't be able to turn into paper and avoid damage, like when Tobi used his Izanagi and hurt Konan.
I agree that she might have a difficult time with genjutsu but that only applies when she's in her real body. Kakashi needs to have eye contact to launch his genjutsu and pieces of paper don't have eyes.
Does turning into paper cost chakra? if it does then she can't constantly keep it up, which might actually work to Kakashi' advantage here.
while it does take chakra to maintain the paper body it does not take a lot as her most power jutsu was capable of runing for 10 minutes with her in paper form while it takes chakra for her to control each piece of paper so yeah. My bet is she can stay in her paper form for about half a day or so before having to turn back with out controling 600 billion tags

I know he can't, I was just thinking that if being in paper mode cost her chakra, Kakashi could get her to keep using it until she was low on chakra and had to put herself back together.
Konan would most likely end up outlasting Kakashi as I dont see neither of them being able to K.O. the other. Katon should be pretty deadly against her, cant remember if Kakashi has any fast katon techniques though.
YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! Does nobody read the thread or the manga for that matter?! It's been said at least five teams in a three page thread and appeared in both the manga and anime that she can't be burned with fire, even Jiraiya's oil-enhanced fire. (Sorry to snap at you, this is meant for pretty much everyone).Quote:
To be clear for all future posters:
FIRE AND WATER TECHNIQUES HAVE NO EFFECT ON KONAN!!!
you also forgot to mention that Kakashi can't do katon jutsu at all, that was only shown in the anime.
We know he can do doton, suiton, and raiton. Doton could help him protect against Konan's attacks and if there's a water source nearby, he can also use suiton for defense and offense.
On the Katon point...
Isn't that her paper being burned? Irrelevant since Kakashi hasn't shown Katon in the manga IIRC, but yea...
I feel like I'm back in the Bleach tournament...now it's omni-directional attacks from Konan? When has she done that without massive prep time? In addition, weren't her only fights against Jiraiya and Madara? Did we ever see her paper interact with Suiton techs? I could be wrong, I honestly don't remember, so if someone has proof of that, that'd be nice as well.
The way I see it, they have an initial clash, and Kakashi goes underground...a bunshin comes up and fights to ascertain her techniques...it'd be obvious that she's a long-range specialist, and that she'll make it quite difficult for him to get up close for Raikiri or anything else...so instead of wasting his time with b.s. techs (we could see a Suijinheki in here), he'd go for the Kamui kill. I dunno, she had a decent strategy against Madara, and you could argue that she didn't really want to kill Jiraiya, but I wasn't really impressed with her combat intellect.
Also, regarding the Suiton techs; was there a lot of water in the vicinity when he used Suijinheki against Kakuzu? I think he'll be fine as far as array of jutsus available to fight Konan. On the other hand, what damage has Konan really done? I mean, she did fight Jiraiya and Madara, so it's a bit unfair, but, again, without the prep time to prepare a ridiculous number of explosive-tagged pieces of paper, I don't see where this omni-directional attack that Kakashi can't dodge is coming from.
And this isn't even mentioning genjutsu...which we haven't seen Konan perform or do well against, while Kakashi is good with genjutsu AND has the Sharingan.
Edit: Saw the posts on the Suiton and stuff...we saw a bubble attack from a summon friendly to Konan...not an actual hostile attack, so I don't see how we're saying suiton is completely ineffective. Additionally, that fireball wasn't oil-enhanced...Jiraiya didn't attack her with fire after pwning her paper with oil.
Edit #2: She knew she was facing off against Jiraiya, and Pain told her to go ahead and kill him if she could manage it...but we didn't see her using any explosive tags...I think the tags were more something she thought of exclusively to fight Madara. We didn't see her use tags in the invasion of Konoha or her skirmish with Jiraiya.

she used tags alot in the anime and she used it in the manga were assuming she is a fan of tags
she can also go with the bushin a paper bushin which is strong enough to take down jonin level opponents
