Forum News: Vote in the final phase of the Anime Awards 2014
There are some songs that as soon as you listen to them you can’t help but think of a certain manga/anime character. Songs, that if it was possible, they would be part of that character’s iPod for sure.
So this is a thread to share those songs along with the name of characters they remind you of.
Here’s my first contribution to this thread :
Song: Who's That Girl - Hilary Duff
Every time I listen to that song Kikyo from Inuyasha immediately comes to my mind. I can easily see her singing that song in regard to both Kagome and Inuyasha.

lol All that comes to mind right now are the character theme songs in the anime's themselves...
Seriously, I just think of, say, Level5 Judgelight and it's Biribiri...
Wait...Actually, with In the End by Linkin Park, the lyrics really remind me of Vegita.
let me think about that...

I dunno about a certain character but MIKA - Kick ass (We are young) makes me always think of the Strawhat pirates as a whole.
We are young, we are strong, were not looking for where we belong
We're not cool, we are free and we're are running with blood on our knees~
We are the dream
no other way to be
For you by azu or all of azu songs always make me think of Sakura from naruto.
I guess its because that same ending song featured her.
^Butterfly, the first theme song of digimon makes me think of the strawhats
I'm not sure why.
Love songs that have nothing to do with an anime makes me think of character pairings too
Paradise & Dreams by Ultrabeat x Darren Styles
Reminds me of Ash Ketchum and Pokemon in general. A really uplifting track that makes me remember my good times in the past, all those childhood desires, wishes and fantasies. The vocals also sounds suitable for a Pokemon theme song.

The following song reminds me of two characters, specifically of my OTP in the whole anime world. That pairing is Nagisa x Tomoya from Clannad. The lyrics of the song are so perfect for this pairing. It describes pretty well what Nagisa and Tomoya go through during the first season of Clannad.
Demi Lovato / Joe Jonas - This Is Me

I re-watched “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” a few days ago and as soon as I listen to “The Call” by Regina Spektor IchiRuki came to my mind. I thought the lyrics of that song was perfect to describe the relationship between Ichigo and Rukia, especially to describe the scene when
No need to say goodbye ☼|IchiRuki|☼

Hollywood Undead - Apologize (Warning: language) - Ryuuji from Nurarihyon no Mago
Despite proclaiming himself as a "white", he uses dirty methods to accomplish what he wants and doesn't care.
I only live in this city, live in the city
I only live in this city, live in the city
I like to keep the place busy and I do it for free
'Cause this city can't live without me
Ah, this is a great thread! I love finding songs that are good matches for manga/anime characters.
For some reason, Kunieda Aoi from Beelzebub comes up a lot when I listen to songs. Like Prescillafrom Bat For Lashes:
Mainly because Kunieda is in love with the main character, and she's know as "The Queen" of Ishiyama High because she's the strongest female delinquent there. The song is about a girl trying to change her life around because she wants to settle down and not be on the run anymore.
Also when I listen to Muse's Time is Running Out, I immediately think of Detective Conan. Its not so much the lyrics but the overall feeling of helplessness, and getting a feeling of pleasure while knowing there's something more pressing out there that you can't avoid. In this case, it reminds me of Conan loving to solve mysteries, but knowing that his detective ways is the reason he's in his current predicament. And on top of that the mess he got himself into is the main reason stopping him from having a relationship with the girl he loves and knows she loves him back.
You know I was thinking about posting in this thread today, but then I was either too lazy to look for it or forgot xD. Anyway, not really a song that I can envision a character in the series having in their iPod, but everytime I listen to We Own the Sky I think of Narutaru. The whole song plus video makes me think of youth and being a child, and seeing as Narutaru focuses a lot on that (Bokurano does as well for that matter) I think both fit very well together. I think the song also fits really well with how the series becomes gradually darker, turning into a deconstruction of your average shonen series.
Song: Dry County - Bon Jovi
This song makes me think about the arc for his revenge
