I saw the first episode. Summary seems to be pretty good. Artwork... There is something I'm uncomfortable with about the animation. I can't tell exactly what, though. I guess I'll stick around a bit more and see how it develops. Maybe the plot can compensate for this strange feeling I have for the artwork. ^^; First episode as usual is just an opening, intro to the two main characters and what seem to come. Not a bad opening, but not spectacular.

...Umm...It's Tenpouin Yuuki, not Tenbouin Yuuki...>.<"
I've already said this in the manga thread, but even though I'm a manga fan, I don't think I want to expect much of the anime, partly because I already know it probably won't follow the manga as faithfully as I initially wanted it to. Only hope the changes are for the best though...and that they at least make the ending somewhat resumable for any chance of second season or whatever. Anything but "clear, unresumable, utterly ridiculous ending after complete pile of mess" is fine by me at this point. *shrug*
While I'm the manga fan, I'll agree with you. I don't find first episode completely spectacular either. I don't know. I'm OK with the character designs and all, but not sure if it's because I already know the thing in the first episode (it did deviate from the manga, but not much anyway, so... ._."), but...nothing really strikes me as good...except for the ending (which is completely exceptional anyway from the very beginning, ever since I know Suzu is going to do it anyway) as far as the first episode goes. Seiyuus are pretty top-notched as well (though not the best in this season, I'm still glad to see Nobu, Suzu and Saiga in it at least). I'll stick with it, of course, just want to see how the changes will lead the anime on. -_-"
I'll give this one a try... My friend said the story is good (she read the manga), and the character design seems awesome so let's go down this ride and see where it will bring us. To be safe, I won't read the manga for now.
its awesome! I always wanted to read this manga but i dont approve of the drawing style so i was patiently/impatiently waiting for anime version.God it was worth the wait.FInally a "sakura" whos actually pretty good.My thoughts about ep 1:
What I'm not sure about the animation is probably the way the sharp eyes are drawn..(?) It is somehow uncomfortable; more towards strange than portraying a cold, devilish eye. Probably it's just me. XD
Well... the art turns out to be not that good, but whatever. I'll keep watching, let's see how this will turn out.
I kinda hate the sparkles that appears around Sakura and Rei when they are being talked about... Isn't this a shounen???
Oh, and I find it funny that Nobuhiko Okamoto, the seiyuu for Okumura Rin, the boy with blue flames, voices Ogami Rei who has blue flames... O_o
I was also put of by the art and the lackluster action sequences. I liked the opening and ending. The episode itself really threw a lot of crap around, I was saying "what" throughout the whole episode because I had no idea who those random people were, but I guess they will explain it as the anime progresses. I also really didn't expect rei to kill that dog. It set the mood for what type of show this is going to be, which is good.
Well, episode 2 is out. I don't really know what to say... I was kinda bored in the first half with all the scenes the girl is making. Her parents are weird (especially her mother, way too young to be a mother and she looks like she lacks clothes to cover her body properly -__-) and so is she at school. I feel as if she's making everything a big deal. ^^; There's nothing new to the plot except few last minutes. Not too fond of the series at the moment so if the next one or two episodes don't give my something very special I may drop it.
@phio_chan: If your "something special" means some kind of development, then I doubt it's possible though. After all, if you're to take into consideration the manga, the real good part only start after chapter 30 (aka after the assumed ending of the anime) The first 30 chapters of the manga aren't really anything much, really. So...unless the anime director did some hat trick (which is possible, considering how much the anime has already gone off the track, despite of it only having two episodes), I don't think you'll find anything special over the next 2-3 episodes either. *shrug*
...Honestly speaking, I've never felt this disappointed and enraged at any anime before...and it's only the second episode...-_-"
Let alone you guys who don't read the manga, even the manga readers like me am starting to feel like I don't want to watch this anymore, really...but this is my favorite weekly manga. I'll stick with it anyway...though that second episode really kills it for me already. T_T

This is turning out so wrong in so many ways.
Sakura's parents, why you show up this early?! Yuki, why you show up this early?! Hitomi is there too, wtf?! And they skipped and changed so many things x___x
I dislike it, I clearly do. You can already see that they only want to deliver the basic gist of the story but change near to everything else. Me, at least there was some canon too but I feel like this will go on and end in a totally different way, what a shame.
I totally understand how you are feeling Juda
I am glad I dropped the manga after a couple chapters because I would probably rage quit the series, right now 2 episodes in this is one of the weakest anime in an otherwise strong anime season, gonna grit my teeth and get through this crapfest!
Actually i have no problem watching this anime, i find it way better than the manga (got bored of it after few chapter). gonna keep watching it
Well I don't really mind the changes, yeah I hate that yuuki showed up before toki, and furthermore He was shown in the damn epidode 2 lol
But at least they dont changed cenario and skipped characters like Magi T_T, and the animation and voice actors (specilly sakura's) are just perfect.
You guys are complaining too much, yeah they changed somethings but that's bound to happen in a 12 episodes series lol so cheer up ^^
Just caught up with manga! Woot was a nice read haha
About anime: DUnno why you guys complain, I really enjoyed the tension was nice nothing was too forced imo.Yes they changed a little bit, its okay I dont mind.I am curious to see how this turns out
Anyway, i'm not much familiar with the kansai-ben dialect, but I think Yuuki should show atleast that in the anime.
