Too bad that the scans have been so slow, we have not gotten anything in months. I hope a miracle shines that we get more releases, and they will be in one batch.
Or scanslator drops it because it is licensed.
The scanlator disappeared long before the license was announced, their last release was in June. I was glad, and a little shocked, when I read it had been licensed by VIZ. They had not been licensing much seinen recently.
Really a shame, I guess looking forward to some new works by Matasumoto is all that is left. This was turning out to be one of his best. One of the manga I would certainly buy though!
Got my preorder in for the English version of volume 1. I didn't even sample the scans. I'm going on complete faith of Matsumoto's abilities given how much of a masterpiece Tekkonkinkreet was. I hope Sunny lives up to my expectations. Can't wait to read it in May. I really hope this does well for Viz and helps keep the SigIKKI imprint alive.
Pre-ordered my copy today as well. Can NOT wait, despite the fact I already read the first book on scans.
I actually also ordered Tekkon Kinkreet and Blue Spring, just because Matsumoto is the man.
Well I guess I will have to wait until it will be translated in French one day too. Hopefuly most of his work has been so far. I myself just bought samourai bamboo even before having read the end. He only did the drawings on this title but they are perfect.
This may seem odd, but since you guys will have the volumes, it is ok to post the summaries of them here in a spoiler tag. I really want to know where this manga is going.
Then buy it.
Someone translated a conversation posted in Brutus between Taiyo Matsumoto and Daisuke Igarashi
Anyone else has the first book yet? I just received it in the mail this week, and it is glorious.
Here's a short Vine about it I made: https://vine.co/v/b3riBmzKJWE
