Forum News: Vote in the final phase of the Anime Awards 2014
Hi! First of all I like to thank you for posting this in the D.Gray-man Hang Out Thread! Or else I would never have found this at all! The likeness to Yullen really amazes me, and I'm liking the manga and anime alike. I'd like to read the novel too, but at the moment, I only saw a link to the first chapter of it.
And did they kiss? Really? I've watched all five episodes as of today and just finished downloading the 4 chapters. Where did this happen? I'd really like to see, or read this myself. Knowing how it happened too. ^^
Only the volume 1 of novel was completely translated. Volume 2 in progress.
You can read it here: http://ninteenpointzerofour.wordpress.com/no-6/
Besides that, there is only the chinese translation around.
You will find summaries in many places describing the kisses. Example:
A person at Lj posted the translation of one of the kisses that happen at volume 3-chapter 4
thank you so much for the links! I'll go to reading the novel trans now. ^^ And wow, they really did kiss. lol. Actually makes me happy.
Wow, thanks for all of those links and for turning me on to this anime. I'd actually been planning to watch it for a long while (ever since the new season started), but once I found out it was BL, it kinda got bumped up on my priority list.
And then I watched episode one... and DAMN. way, way more than I was expecting. I pretty much watched all 9 episodes in a row. Sooo much fun. Honestly though, I really don't see what the genre debate is all about -- it was very clear to me after the first ep that this wasn't just slashy, but at least full-on shounen-ai. Had the characters been older, I could've taken taken that dialog word for word and inserted it into any generic yaoi manga and it wouldn't have seemed out of place at all.
And wow, that kiss was way more intense in the novel than in the anime. I see what you mean about them cutting bits... How are you liking the novels, in general? BL stuff aside, is there a lot more in them that the anime hasn't shown? One thing that frustrates me about the anime (besides the horrible animation) is the lack of world definition. Generic dystopian future, division between the ignorant Haves and rebellious Have-nots, and to be honest it just seems like plot device more than anything else -- a way for Sion to be led around and "educated" (haha) by Nezumi, and for them to have a reason to work together to save whatsherface.
For a BL, it's good. definitely above-average. But if I have to compare it to everything else, it's been done better before. That's why I'm wondering if something's just been lost in the transition to anime. I know they must've had to rush a lot of stuff to compress everything down to 11 episodes. ah well. I'm enjoying the BL bits in the meantime. xD

my first gif! i couldn't resist.
Another fan is translating the novel.
She already is on chapter 4 of volume 2: http://9th-ave.blogspot.com/search/label/no.6
My biggest complaint would be about the order of scenes. It's different on the 3 (anime, manga and novel).
I am already used to the anime lowering the level of involvement of Shion and Nezumi. In the novel, they really care for each other, more than the anime is showing. There was also the Riki part that i have to read again, cause i think it showed hints that he is Shion's father. But i'm not sure, especially after nothing being shown in the anime.

Well, I just majorly spoiled myself with the ending. Read it here, if you want: http://canis-m.livejournal.com/413712.html
It's just the last scene of volume 9, plus the epilogue. Of the novels, I've only read that little bit plus some random excerpts and pieces of scenes. I dunno though. I don't know what it is about light novels -- possibly a bad translation, not sure -- but they always seem like bad fanfic to me. Just bad prose, and overly angsty/melodramatic.
Guess I'll have to see how the last two eps play out though. wonder if they'll keep the same non-ending.
I have to post this scan from a magazine about animes. It's way too cute to not post.
Credits to sakuraelizaveta at Lj for finding it.
And here it is, the day of the last episode of No. 6 season.
For those interested to know more info about the story, just read the whole thread, where you will find links to blogs translating the novel.
OST will be officially available on October 27th.
Interview with Asano Atsuko from the guidebook
Thanks to karice67 at no6city for translating it.
It may contain spoilers for those that only read the manga.
