I'm impressed Raku is not a useless twat. The male lead in harem manga are almost always useless, wishy-washy, personality free, pansies. Raku has an actual personality, is an interesting, and has some sense of Raku is interesting and has an actual personality. All of the girls are interesting too, another rarity. Usually at least one girl has all the personality of a potted plant. I do think the arrival of Tsugumi added a lot to the manga. Ever since she was added to the cast it feels like Komi has been more confident broadening the plot a little. Even if typical school life story lines, the love rivalry no longer has to carry the plot alone. I've really enjoyed the last ten or so chapters. Bonus points for the increased fanservice
While not as good as the hot spring chapters (hilarious IMO), I really liked chapter 25. Chitoge was really cute this week, especially when she asked Raku to call her by her first name.
In terms of weekly manga atm is one of the most enjoyable reads.
Even though I would say the one shot is more interesting, I enjoy this series. Now the problem would be if this manga (as a romance manga) can survive for a long run like Ichigo 100% or To-Love Ru. The good sales of the first tankobon is a great news.
I prefer the serialization. The yakuza - gangster rivalry was a fun gimmick, but I'm glad the serialization has pushed it into the background. The school life and romance story lines are much more interesting, over the long run.
Some more VOMIC information in the latest chapter of Nisekoi.
- Raku will be voiced by Matsuoka Yoshitsugu
The only harem I've ever liked was Vandread. But I'm liking this so far, looks really promising.
Just a quick question: where did Raku reveal to someone that he and Chitoge are faking it?? I forgot where.
Okay, I peeked on Chapter 27 RAW :
Too bad this manga needs to be redrawed so badly, if not maybe the scanlation wouldn't be left behind by 1 week.
known all along. Riru seems to have figured out something is wrong too, and has long been advising Onodera to "steal" Raku from Kirisaki. I don't recall if she has given voice to her suspicions, she certainly has not confronted Kirisaki or Raku.
And then Kirisaki told Onodera and Riru the truth in chapter (forgot which number). Just before the manga started revealing Kirisaki's promise/before Onodera had the courage to confess and failed.
I'm starting to take a liking to Tsugumi's character, as long as we're not focusing on her love problems. I laughed so hard when she asked what a love letter is.
