GRRM is excited and terrified to watch the Red Wedding :
He said that it was the most difficult part he ever wrote.
He is also talking about the s3 casting.
I think the last part of the vid pretty much confirms that Strong Belwas is probably cut...just not Arsten please
Yeah I saw it yesterday actually.
Still no Mance
This is not good! They've still not found the perfect Mance, and they've already started shooting. Gah! I don't want a half-assed Mance!
(Like always the casting will be great, so that will apply for Mance too.)
Did you guys check out the norwegian dude playing Tormund? Looks beast
He was one of the first people rumored to join the cast...I'm not even sure if last season ended before he was talked about. Most assumed Tormund, some thought maybe Edmure Tully.
Well I didn't pay much attention to rumors, but I know it's been out for a while. I saw mentions of rumors in early May, lol.
I prefer to put it in the spoiler tags, because it's critical.
I have serious doubts that he doesn't know what's in store for his character. That goes for any character in the series.
Yeah but that wasn't canon and no one else in his life would have been telling him that...at least not enough for him to not think it was a joke
Both Alfie Allen and Richard Madden knew their characters arc in broad strokes.
Alfie didn't react because the show =/= the books. If the producers decided to cut him out, so be it. Or perhaps he didn't know it when he got the script, which was probably half a year or more ago. But he knows about Reek now at least, and his character's arc in general at least. The "confusion" (though I'm certain he knows by now and just pretends to be ignorant) is whether he'll be in the third and fourth season or not, since Theon isn't in the third book. It kind of takes away from the shock in the 5th book, but it could be interesting to have him in the show to see his build up towards Reek, and not just see him as Reek and learn about it through inner dialogue and flashbacks. But since this is a TV show and he's given so much attention, plus GRRM himself said that he "thinks" Theon will be in the show, points towards him being in the coming seasons.
Richard only reads the books after each season, but he's known about Robb for a long time. He knew the overall arc, but didn't want to spoil himself on the many twists and turns up to the main events. He explains by saying that he wants to be as surprised as us viewers so that he can portray the character as best as possible.

Plus if X dies in the books, it's inevitable that the actor hears about it. I mean it literally takes nothing to spoil it. A fan could come crawling up on the street and shout "LOVED YOUR DEATH SCENE DUDE!" and it's spoiled, haha.
The above applies to
