First I want to ask you:
Why would fishmen or mermaids need a ship?
Well, my answer is, it will take them to the planet neptune. Moon was once inhebited in op verse, there are a lot of aliens and neptune will be full of water in OP - a perfect place for them and probably the only safe place for shirahoshi if WG finds out about her.
It's crazy but remember:
Enel is on moon now.
Maxim was a spaceship.
Noah was pbbly build by the same people who built the porneglyphs and they were all vegapunk level and better.
the weapon's name is the name of their destination.
Shirahoshi is an ancient weapon...
people live on clouds
a mad man is a black hole
You think I'm crazy?
Neptune is the Name of the Mermaid King...
More so, noah is meant to be moved by sea kings. How are those guys supposed to take noah to neptune?
My theory is that the "promised" time is when the Noah will carry the Fishman to the surface... and the princess will be told by "the one who will guide her" to take them there.
if sea kings can fly they can take them to that planet but that's why they are called "SEA" kings
This is a silly thread, if you read greek mythology Neptune and Poseidon were related, thus Oda adding a father and daughter. Shira can and cant be directly referred to as Poseidon for 2 reasons.
1. she is a woman. In the myths, its a man.
2. she has a power to destroy the world, which is controlling all seakings.
in this case in considered godlike.
Second of all the Maxim was a joke, for Enel who claimed to be a God which is also a joke.
That little arc fufilled its mission, being on the moon. Totally unrelated to the Noah.
If anything, since the king closed off FI, Big Mom may show up and the real problems may occur. Noah will be used to transport a whole race of fishman to another place for safety and to start life all over again

Well i just made this theory because itdoesnt sound crazier than shirahoshi being poseidon .-. noah doesnt make sense at all, my theory doesnt make sense, so it will happen
shirahoshis power is too powerful, it will be just fine if she leaves that planet with seakings.i wouldnt be surprised if seakings can fly, there are so many miracles in opverse, well, everything is possible...
Neptun and Poseidon arent the same... Greek and Roma had their own gods...
Not the same gods with different names... Even if theese gods were both gods of the same thing. (God of the sea in this case)
^Are you kidding? It is well known the romans adopted the greek gods except they gave them roman names. They are by all intents and purposes the sames guys lol.
I know what you mean, but thats not completely true.
The Roman Culture mor or less just "Copied" their Gods from other Cultures, and then stated them as their own Gods, thats why they renamed them.
This was called the "Interpretatio_Romana" see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpr...#Roman_version
Well ok, its easier to say that these are the same, but different named. But then you deny all the differences between the cultures.
All three of the ancient weapons were designed to defeat the World Government. They were left for a future hero (Luffy) to wield against the World Government. This is the likely significance of Raftel: It is likely the home of the final Poneglyph. Being at the end of the Grand Line/New World any pirate who reached Raftel would have had the opportunity to read the rest of the Poneglyphs. Anyone who reached Raftel could learn the final secrets of the Void Century and of the ancient weapons. There is little doubt Roger new these secrets and that this is the One Piece, the ability to defeat the World Government. Rogers was to sick, to near death to do so himself. By turning himself in he was able to preserve the secrets of the Void Century and leave them to someone who could use them. I doubt that any of the ancient weapons will be used for interplanetary travel though. That would not make very much sense in the context of the story.

I doubt any Pirate King would need Noah, especially not for that reason since pirates don't directly try and overthrow the World Government, as someone like Dragon is trying to do.
The only reason I can think of for Noah's purpose is the obvious, to move a massive amount of people from point A to B. My guess is that it's going to be highly important when the Straw Hats eventually reach Raftel.
Edit in response to your edit:
Why does the World Government need overthrowing?
Also, I doubt anyone needs those weapons to beat the WG. If the Yonkou decided to gather together and take it on they'd probably horribly crush them.

Calling the ship Noah does imply that a large number of living things will take refuge on the ship. But I don't know as Sea Kings would be needed were it merely a transport. The Sea Kings and Poseidon make it sound like a weapon of war as well as a transport.
While not a revolutionary, Luffy has already challenged the World Government twice: the assault of Enes Lobby and the war at Marineford. He will likely confront them again, probably multiple times before the manga ends. I don't believe it will end at Raftel either, nor will it end with Luffy becoming Pirate King. I think he will play a central role in the fall of the World Government. And at some point Luffy and Dragon will meet, we do not yet know how the Revolutionary Army and Straw Hats will interact but it would be reasonable to predict close ties. Dragon is Luffy's father, Robin spent the last two years training with the Revolutionaries, Ivankov has befriended Luffy, and Kuma proved to be friendly. Sabo is likely a revolutionary as well.

While a nice theory, I changed the thread title to allow for slightly broader discussion. Any theory about Poseidon and Noah is welcome.
