Attack on Titan hit 1.5mln copies sold in North America.
That's pretty good. Hopefully Kodansha gets a little more aggressive with the licenses now.....
I doubt. You cannot compare Attack on Titan with any other series published by Kodansha.
Attack on Titan is most likely an exception with sales kilometers above the average.
All volumes of a manga selling in USA as much one volume of a manga sells in Japan is quite telling about the state of the overseas industry.
Well, except for France.
Kodasha Comics announced the publication of A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) by Yoshitoki Oima and Maria the Virgin Witch (Junketsu no Maria) by Masayuki Ishikawa.
Koe no Katachi publication made me happy since I was kinda sad reading it on Crunchyroll and not having print version.
A Silent Voice. I like that. I hope the volumes look nice. I would love to purchase at least one.
Now that's one of the licenses I was refering to....
To me it is aggressive because it isn't going to set the sales chart ablaze but has decent potential.
Light novels seem to be doing well so far for Yen Press | Sword Art Online: Aincrad which has sold over 30,000 copies since its release in April.
Seven Seas Alliance announced Non non Biyori yesterday and The Ancient Magus' Bride (Mahou Tsukai no Yome) today.
They are going to announce one new series each day for 7 days. 5 left.
Non non Biyori is must buy at least. Let's see what more they will bring.
