I mostly use Twitter as a news feed, every once and a while it's good for interacting with those you used to not be able to interact with.
Copellion was a victim of current events. It was scheduled to get an anime, until the Fukushima Earthquake. After that I guess the material was deemed to sensitive, production ceased on the anime before a single episode aired, the manga went on hiatus, and resumed in Monthly Young Magazine rather than the higher profile weekly.

VIZ has announced that they will speed up the release schedule for Bleach, similar to past speed ups for Naruto and One Piece. Two volumes will be released per month through December 2012, ending the speed up with the release of volume 53.

Vertical has open its manga licensing windows to take suggestions.. you can vote/make suggestions here: http://www.facebook.com/questions/10151097240569613/ or make them directly at the vertical twitter account.

I'm surprise no one suggested Vinland Saga, it still fit the guidelines since the latest will be volume 12.
It was there. For some reason it's not there anymore though.. probably a impossible get. (I remember some talks saying kodansha didn't want to license it)
It seems Vertical really wants the title but its not on their hands. (in twitter)

1. No novels and no titles from Shogakukan, Shueisha or Akita Shoten.
2. No titles from before 2000.
3. No titles longer than 12 volumes.
The third rule actually has one addition, if a series has twelve volumes and it's still ongoing, then you can't vote for it. That's why we can't vote for Vinland Saga, because even now we just know it will have more than twelve volumes. Mr. Yukimura stated in one interview some years ago that he thinks that Vinland Saga will have about 25 volumes. (It's just his guess, don't take it too seriously, we already know how "precise" these statements are. Remember Inoue Takehiko and his guess that Vagabond shouldn't go over thirty volumes? Funny.)
If we could vote for Vinland Saga, I would be spamming Vertical Inc. twitter account all day long. (I don't have a facebook.) But as far as my informations go, there's supposedly Historie. So I'll pray at least that will get published (Like a dream come true!).
Been awhile since I was interested in buying anything from Yen Press. Hope they look good.
Does anyone know if Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is still being published?
12:28:53 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> A: that's a hard one... it started off good, and then it plateau'd and then declined
12:29:01 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> we had to step back and think if it was viable to sustain the series
12:29:05 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> at the moment it's table is what i'll say
12:29:08 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> it's really hard to work on
12:29:23 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> the references, the fact checking, the poor translator who has to work out all the text, and the editor who has to check
12:29:47 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> it's a really tough book, and for ones that are so time consuming, it's hard to justify it for something that maybe not even breaking even, i don't know the specifics, but i know it was a coern
12:30:13 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> it's not canceled, it's tabled... we know there are still some diehard fans out there, (missed part)
12:30:02 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> there are no immediate plans
12:30:04 <bay|Ota|Kodansha> it's not dead

Vertical can't do Oyasumi Punpun because it is a Shogakukan title, so Viz has priority. Same for Kingdom, which is a Shueisha title. Plus Kingdom is way too long. Vertical has like a 10 volume cap right now.
Looks like Attack on Titan continues its attack on graphic novels here, with v1 being the best selling graphic novel of October.
