He made the ultimate sacrifice (his family) for the village.
And then paid it from his life for the sake of his brother.
Definitely the best male character of the whole story.
And it's not even done yet, even from the grave, he will probably play a big role in the war.
Being able to overcome Edo Tensei, that just proove how much powerful this guy is!
Minato pure epicness
Minato. I find him the most awesome male character.
It seems the majority of the nominations go to Minato, Itachi and Jiraya.
As much as I would like to see other characters nominated as well I just have to support Itachi. He's strong, intelligent and has been trying to help his village and his brother since the beginning and even after death without thinking about himself at all. What I really liked about him lately is when he admitted that he was wrong trying to do everything by himself and in turn ended up failing (the situation with Sasuke probably couldn't get any worse) which proves that he isn't infallible, it made him more approachable IMO
Tough decision, really.
I'll go for Minato, since Itachi pretty much is involved only with Sasuke, while Yondaime influenced the whole Narutoverse. That, and Yondaime was always on top, and too damn awesome.
Itachi's only flaw is that he has the Sharingan, Kishi and hardcore Uchiha fans really ruined it for me.
I'am nominating Kisame. It doesn't get more manly then that.
Kakashi Hatake - The one and only best male character/Shinobi in the Narutoverse!
Asuma Sarutobi and Shikamaru Nara have always been my favorite character since I could relate with them in a lot of ways. My favorite moments in the manga are also the moments where these two shined. Out of the two, I'd vote for Asuma Sarutobi.
Hard choice between Kakashi and Jiraiya.
Let's go with Kakashi. "My eternal rival."
He's very ninja-ish, lazy, a bit pervert, coolness alive, awfully skilled despite his weak stamina.
Zabuza i will nominate
Sasuke. He's had the most effect on the main character in the series, has the coolest character design, the coolest jutsu, the flashiest fighting style... he's just awesome. Even the ire he draws from some members here is awesome. Say what you will about a character you hate, but Kishi's obviously doing something right if he can keep you in disdain with him. He's a villain, that's what's supposed to happen, lol.
So difficult to choose between Itachi, Jiraiya, and Kisame...Kisame really went out like a G. And for anyone who actually knows Japanese, his manner of speaking is SO different than what you would expect from a half-man/half-shark. Itachi, shrouded in mystery the entire series, pretty much exemplified what it was to be a shinobi. No glory, no recognition, only enemies, and lost his entire family. Jiraiya also died like a champ. He hadn't had a good fight the entire time, but his fight with Pain was great. He has a great variety of techniques that actually lend themselves to infiltration and such. My bias toward Itachi is pretty big, but...I'm going to go with Jiraiya. He taught Minato, was a great influence on Naruto, trained Nagato, saved the village, helped Konoha get Tsunade back, the list just goes on and on. I also personally think that he and Itachi exchanged information, which makes him even cooler, lol.
