We are used to the fast pace in Nurarihyon so this was was a little less filling than usual I agree ^^. But well it's hard too please everyone, I remember a few "complaints" on the short fights . For once we have a fight that last more than a couple of pages ^^.
i wish kappa got more exposure... but perhaps this is a new attempt to revitalise the fanbase in the toc by changing the pace
What a freaking annoying chapter too clean and typeset.
Great chapter though, nobody should have any problems with the action or story :P.
rikuo is as cool as usual
yes yes he is
love the disappearing act
Anyone notice how Mago is basically the opposite of Bleach when it comes to pacing and panels?
you mean stuff happens and developments always occur? yeah i've noticed that too. LOVE IT
Somehow I get the feeling you're not too fond of Bleach Noodles
On another note, does anyone know when the new chapters are released?
i was, time changes a man... or the manga... more reasonably the manga changed... after volume 6. but i should stop ragging it, it has it's moments still (shuhei hisagi's shikai)
and i think it really comes down to when the translator/scanlator have time... or are we up to date at the moment? either way raws start appearing for WSJ series from yesterday for the issue out this monday
So we'll get at least another arc involving the actual traitor from within.. Hope it'll be as epic as the arcs so far (although my favorite has to be the Gyuugi bit).
Not that I thought so anyways, but who's relieved that the One-Eyed wasn't the traitor?
not particularly, cause now it could end up being someone far more likable
no scanlation of chapter 45? T ^ T
I finally caught up and let this be a lesson. Mago doesn't stretch out the arcs (note: psyren's positive point too). Give me the shorter arc based manga. This arc was pretty good and I liked the condition that was set at the end.
So it seems the mastermind behind this hides his face. Hiding his face means two things:
1. he's some youkai we already know -> http://mangahelpers.com/s/fiva55/rea...13/14#apicture (this guy is someone I don't trust)
2. he hides his face because being among youkai obliges him -> making me believe he could be an onmyouji

now tamazuki with a scar across his face looks cool too.. but yoruo's the coolest ^_^
So who wants to place bets that the masked traitor / mastermind behind all of this had something to do with the death of Rikuo's father? I bet whoever this guy is, he was hoping to gain control of the group and didn't count on Rikuo actually being reliable.
Also, hybrid human/youkai Rikuo is very cool--the best parts of both personalities blended together. I was seriously worried that as the series went on, it would be all about Yoruo and human Rikuo would disappear completely in favor of the cooler version of him, but this is a good solution to that problem as we still get both characters.
It was interesting how Yura disappeared from this chapter. I wonder how much of everything she saw? Initially, she was right next to Rikuo, so you'd think she ended up seeing everything. It'd be kinda forced if at this point she doesn't know who Rikuo is, especially since he transformed pretty quickly after saving her, and even if for some reason she didn't clearly see that part, surely she must've seen grandpa show up?
And finally, although I was super happy that
