Ep 252 stream
It's a trap. 80% of flashback.
But the art and animation were both great.

WOOOW great animation!!
Episode was so/so, but the ending animation was pretty epic.
A lot of flashbacks, but the episode was great overall. The last scene of Konan splitting the water was incredibly well done! They've really raised the bar these past episodes! Loving it
This episode had waaaaay too long flashbacks between the actual present material. It really ruined the flow of the episode and made it far more boring than it should have been. I want to say that it was a great episode because the present scenes were really well done. Superb animation, greater mini-fillers, great artwork and the last ocean split scene was amazingly well done. But it still stands that 50% (or more?) of the episode was pure flashbacks which ruined its flow. I'm sorry but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I should have. It would have been better with a 10 minute long episode...
Next episode looks like has the same animation. No wonder when they only had to animate 10 minutes of new material in this one.
Same as what everyone else has said so far. The flashbacks were definitely the downside of this episode but besides that pretty good episode. Animation was spectacular towards the end. The Omake was kinda funny too.
the episode was okay but the animation at the end of konan jutsu was great.
Very good episode if you don't include the flashback parts, those really put a damper on the episode.
Well, well... next weeks looks kinda bad based on the preview.

Geez. Whine, whine, whine. whine. whine. This episode was one of the best animated for the entire franchise. People seem to forget it's been 1 1/2 years since the Pain arc concluded. The filler elaborated the dialogue alot better than what Kishi did with it. Just because it's filler doesn't make it meaningless. True, filler draws out an episode but I thought it enchences Konan's decision to defy the Akatsuki.
No one has currently rated this below 5 (average) (edit: One now ). I get that the fillers were supposed to remind people what happened and strenghten the resolve of Konan, but to us, who are die hard fans, already knows that and has watched those episodes probably more than once and has seen many of the scenes in flashbacks many times. We're getting kinda tired of them.
The new flashbacks (or back-story) was good, we're not complaining about that, at least I ain't.
And finaly, this episode was absolutly not one of the best animated episodes of Naruto ever, in my opinion. Do you really think so?

lots of flashback but the last scene with the sea splitting look absolutely stunning, like a scene animated for a naruto movie, RIP

i'm a big Naruto fan, it's my favorite of all time but this episode was boring as hell. after so many boring fillers we stuck with the anime and waited for the manga stuff only to find them sticking with a fricken 1 chapter per episode ??!! then why the hell did they waste our time with those fillers ?!
and how am i supposed to appreciate good animating if the episode is so boring i had to skip most of it ? i watched the pain arc three times so i KNOW by heart the flashback . there is no good way of saying it , they are sucking the life out of the anime EVEN with good animating
