Here is the piece of news in Japanese.
They're pretty much saying that the new opportunities for the manga that existed in the magazine would be in WYJ.Quote:
Soul Catcher(s) and Young Jump annouxning cancellations on the same day. Can't take this stress. Flowers, 87 Clockers, Winner's Circle, La Vie En Doll and others had some good stories left to tell.
I can't imagine that they'd let 87 clockers and Shaman King Flowers go without a fight, so they're a safe bet to turn up elsewhere (unless either's close to an ending, I haven't read X in a while, most of this is just from like... observed success.)
Well I think most of the series will turn up on YJ web afterwards, La Vie en Doll, I don't know. The series has 6 chapters, which represents the end of Part 1 and it hasn't been in the magazine for 6-7 months already.
Resume in july.Quote:
The one really good part about this news is how much advance notice we have. Normally it's like "last issue is next month, good luck!" We actually have 4 more issues left. For monthly series, that could be enough time for them to finish up their current storyarc and have a volume that could be published. I know that's how it's probably going to line up for Shaman King Flowers.
Shaman King Flowers isn't even close to being done. Winner's Circle and 87 Clockers might be able to find good stopping points. I kinda expect Winner's Circle to take the place of Liar Game next time that goes on hiatus. Flowers will be reborn in another magazine, that's for sure. Hiroyuki Takei's official Twitter actually tweeted about it very shortly after the announcement, so the artists probably had some advance notice on this. (Also, Takei's current editor was previously from Weekly Young Jump if I recall)
In case anyone was wondering... Shaman King Flowers will be on the cover of the final Jump Kai issue releasing next month (10/10).
(There will also be a Shaman King Zero chapter as well.)
All the series have either been confirmed where they're moving to or ended.
Wait, and Shaman King Flowers? Is it really going to end? Wow
Now 87 Clockers is weekly
Man. They're going all over the place. Young Jump, Miracle Jump, Tonari no Young Jump, Ultra Jump, Grand Jump Premium, Jump+, Shosetsu Subaru, Cookie, and Melody. One magazine dispersed into 9 different separate magazines. The whole Jump X family's breaking up. So sad.
87 Clockers got into a popular one, that's nice. Anime possibilities increased.
This is pretty unexpected to see that some series will actually move to shojo / Josei magazine
Not at all? If I recall correctly, from its very launch Jack X was advertised as a mixed demographics magazine.
