In this special discussion episode let's share about the funny and/or lovely love confessions you ever seen in shoujo/josei series you read or watch. Feel free to link to the picture or screenshot if you can; otherwise, describe! <3
My first and most favorite confessions. Simple, and somehow different with the plush toy and the situation... Just lovely. <333
Hilarious but heartwarming... the confession of love in Ouran where Haruhi finally confessed to Tamaki...
Sorry, it's quite long.
But it's so sweet and it left a big impression on me, so this is the only confession I can remember.
I'm sure I know some more cute confessions, I'll post them when I remember.
LOL~ That is very funny! Such a not serious confession, but sweet too. Looks like both characters are not used to saying what they feel, especially when it comes to romantic feelings? <3
You should've seen what happened in their first date. Total disaster.

^ Sounds like a crazy couple.
One of the most lovely and funny confession I've seen is from FullMoon wo Sagashite. When Mitsuki was confessing, she was getting angry at Takuto first before actually saying what she wanted. It was funny because Takuto tried to deny what she said and they ended up having a debate. They even neglected that Mitsuki was in the middle of her concert, near the end, and when she saw Takuto she just jumped out and started yelling. XD I'm just glad they have a happy ending!
(Pictures will come soon, I hate slow internet... )
wow I never read that part of Ouran. Is that series already over and complete? I dropped it in the middle, sad to say.
well, this one, from Kare Kano, I really like. Actually, the few chapters in the very first volume and volume 2 are all about their confessions back and forth, and it's quite hilarious, really- their volleying of confessions.
First the boy confesses, and because of the girl's shock she doesn't say anything and the boy thinks it's a rejection. Next they are very awkward around each other, and the girl realizes she's actually attracted to the boy, but can't take back her silence (rejection) for fear of being rejected herself. And the way the two characters are portrayed inward as they have monologues, and the series of events as results of their stupid decisions (people do crazy things when in love, after all) are very well written with generous amounts of humor.
What I liked most, is that, when all the internal dialogues were spent, and the characters have had their share of stupid moments, these panels come next:
boy i;n tellig you, pleas read this story.... 'ts awyesome.
This is so confusing for a confession, but I almost shrieked in glee nonetheless since this is what I've been waiting for 20 chapters!
It's still confusing for the girl and the readers whether he intentionally said it like that, or he genuinely thought she was asleep. I'm more into the former, since he wouldn't have said important things if he knew she was asleep for sure. But why does he slips that confession in the middle of that kind of conversation is a mystery still... But whatever it is...
from what manga is this?
Posting wise here at MH, feel free to start a thread about Horimiya at Shounen section, since we're based on magazine demographics. ~phio_chan

yup. after a quick search apparently it's from a shounen magazine.
Actually, there are some shounen that are centered on romance, but really told in a shounen style. And if you read a lot of them you will soon notice the difference. I'll read this and tell you what I think

Okay yuki, I read it, and I would say, at the first ten chapters or so, I really felt it was very shoujo, but as the story progresses I now feel that it is indeed shounen. And that's all there is to it Plus, that we can't argue it comes out in a shounen magazine.
