I knew Fuji/Atobe were going to get owned. There's no way they could do something against POP.
I would have chosen other two strong players like Shuuji/Tokugawa or Shuuji/Oni, to make it a close match. Also, those are way stronger pairs than Atobe/Fuji.

Yes, I think Atobi/fuji was a decision taken based on fan and the fact we still didn't saw those other potentially better players play yet so we don't even know what techniques or even style they use, with the exception of oni.
That's exactly it. I used Fuji and Atobe because you guys requested them lol. However, with any request, I need to think of a way for the match to be somewhat realistic to the manga. And at the moment, I can't see how Konomi would think of a way for either Fuji or Atobe to overcome PoP, let alone PoP AND someone as good as Makoto. The realistic thing to do is have them lose pretty badly, but not badly enough as to not leave an impression. I think I did that much at least.Originally Posted by Fosprey

The names for Makoto's techniques come from two monster bosses in the video game "Vindictus."

Aspersio looked a lot like power up version of cool drive. Or the way cool drive is suppose to work, I would say. That's how I think the cool drive should work against Yukimura.
Btw, where the heck is Airgrimes? I'm doing the Yukimura match!

I just hope that there is a really good artist or mangaka to draw your chapters.. I think it will be very good! What do you think?
Good chapter. I am interested to see how Yukimura deals with the Black aura. Hopefully he can overcome it with something new, or something he realizes, since he has seen it from two different players now.
How did Yukimura do what he did though? How can you break someone's "optical axis of vision?"
Probably an effect of the YIPS, makes you see an illusion, or makes you delusional in a sense. But Veni also has a point too.
(But if it wasn't a cheap shot, I'm sorry.)
Anyhow, I wasn't trying to criticize. I was just wondering since I wasn't sure if maybe you forgot the part where you explain Yukimura's technique or decided to go the handwaved route, which is just as valid.

It was somewhat light sarcasm (because, any "explanation" will ultimately not make any logical sense just like any other "technique" in PoT - which doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading it)
Sorry if I offended you.
