I still wonder if the union with Raskeria would make possible for Rai to restore his health. Sex does magic for men's health! But, aside from that, they both share the power of the Blood... so there must be some connection, right? They're the only two beings able to use such power, and if it's power that drains Rai's life, maybe that same power could restore it. Just guessing/hoping for a good ending. Rai sure doesn't deserve to die, and I don't think his death could possibly add anything to the manwha; quite the opposite, actually.
...even sadder than I thought it will be... /goes to sob to the corner
I would quite agree that Rai somehow surviving and acquiring an ordinary life he so wishes for would add more to Noblesse. There are stories that would better end bittersweet or sorrowful, but I would really love and am hoping that it won't be the case here, no matter how obvious it may seem now. The authors can write and illustrate beautiful sad moments as I've once again seen in last three chapters, and I'm sure an end like that would be beautiful; but...
Chapter is out from eg scans. Turns out to be a sad chapter like you guys mentioned. I hope things go about quickly in-terms of the next turn of events. Regis and Seria will head back to Lukedonia. I don't believe m-21 and the others will leave or if they do leave for the time being, they will return.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai! Dammit, there are no emoticons to express my sad feels right now! :C
So sad! I'm always amazed how well the art goes with the text, but i think this was top notch!
I've been in and out of the fandom a while, but now i'll have to go fangirl over Rai when i have time after finals.
HANG IN THERE RAI! :3
It is really sad what is going on with Rai, so I hope the author changed that.
In the end Frank will find a cure to Rai's illness (or problem power/life) with science (maybe resources of the union...)
i am wondering why Rai stay all the time in his mansion. Couldn't he go visit the other clans instead of waiting that they come to him or travel in the world?
Review is out (Here is a link for any who are interested.)
This chapter brought to mind one of my favorite poems...
"My candle burns at both ends It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends;
It gives a lovely light."
--Edna St. Vincent Millay
RAI IS NOT DYING HE IS HAVING GROWING PAINS
HE WILL REACH ADULT HOOD AND BECOME ABLE TO SUSTAIN HIS POWERS
thats just my guess as to what it will end up as
After reading this chapter I realized that I want the full flashback with Rai meeting Franky for the first time. Not a few panels long memory, but 3 chapters at least. Including: Franky's fight with Rajak's father, Gejutel's first contact with Franky (lovely dialogue, for sure), how Rai decided to adopt him and why Franky worships the ground Rai walks on. Also, I want the previous Lord meeting Franky for the first time, as a dessert.
...maybe it would be 10 chapters, but I think it's worth it

this chapter make me think Rai will enter eternal sleep at the end of Noblesse
Wow this chapter made me cry Really Rai's past is so sad . But well it was to be expected . Usually strong people are always judged different and are left alone 'cause of that . Now i guess i understand why Rai looks so comfortable surrounded by people , especially normal humans . And also i understand why he was so sad when he had to kill the Elder . Even though he was a bastard Rai doesn't want to end lives.
Anyway i have a feeling the guys won't leave to Lukedonia . They would make it seems like they are ok with it but in the end they will stay beside Franky and Rai .
Goodness, how can this chapter be so sad.. My eyes were wet.
Like matzik I don't think the knights would leave and stay at Lukedonia like what Rai asked them to do. Perhaps they would leave, but not staying at Lukedonia, maybe they will hide somewhere close to Rai so whenever Frank and Rai got in trouble it'll be easy for them to help. It's very sweet of Rai to give that chance for them, but from what I see these nobles and modified humans are more or less like him; knowing they can't get that kind of life they strive to protect students at the school so that they can have that kind of life. Very sweet of them all. <3
Tbh i was expecting sth like this, the author gave Rai some sort of monopoly in the series by giving him incredible amount of power it would be too insane if there is no consequence of using that power.
Though i wonder who will he fight his last fight. I mean who is strong enough ?
And ya i kind a agree with scav, Rai will either wither away or enter eternal sleep when the series end.
