So it seems Itachi had set up Izanami when he was stabbed the very first time, even before chapter 581.... that explains why that sequence is included in the loop.
This also must be why Itachi's left Mangekyo was focused on in a panel... as what he had used back then was a clone, not a genjutsu as he couldnt use any on Kabuto.

Yeah, Itachi has just proved that Uchihas bloodline is superior to yet another person's abilities. First Orochimaru now Kabuto (a.k.a Oro wannabe). Still, I wonder what the mechanism behind Izanami is. I don't think it's solely related to Sharingan but their mind/psychic powers as well.
One more Chapter for Itachi the great's greatness ... But seriously , That ability is for sole purpose of killing / finishing some one with good abilities. I mean how in the world a blood line limit with these kinda ability can be defeated (In Short how GREAT was 1st Hokage who beat MADARA?). Waiting for chapter to see the mechanics behind the Izanami, and Yay Kages are going to be saved (Unless we have a twist in stroy)
Just because Madara was apparently the greatest Uchiha doesnt mean he had everything Itachi currently posseses. (Yata's mirror + Toksuya and Izanami for instance)
Itachi reaches another level of badassnes.
So basically Izanami is an ability that can Talk no Jutsu Kabuto into accepting himself... and becoming good? Haha thanks.
Somehow I hoped it's not the end for Kabuto, but yes Itachi is one badass character. Once again he shows that he's definitely superior to Sasuke, who didn't show anything new so far.
I just don't like Izanami.
Ehem, the new pix render my previous statement void, right? It seems Kabuto sets himself free out of the loop. I guess now real shit will hit the fan....
On another note. Why does urushi still wear konoha's headband? It's pointless.
Aparently Itachi has better talk no jutsu then Naruto rofl. Why not use that on Sasuke and make him go "good"? :P
So now Uchihas have the strongest weapon of all, Tnj.
I bet that Itachi will acquire yet another legendary artifact, Jiraiya's book, and then become truly invincible.
Hmm, that smirk on Kabuto's face (http://i.imgur.com/OEeMw.jpg) is making me think that this won't be over. What if he actually knows how to break free from Izanami? I wouldn't be surprised. And the last panel, view from behind Kabuto's back, makes him look almighty and not resigned to accept his pitiful fate. Kishi's got something big under his sleeves.
I think it is inaccurate to use the word "destiny" or "fate" to describe Izanami. It may just be me but destiny is a predetermine future and everything dies. If so, by accepting death as a focal point of acceptance, the victim could just wriggle out of the genjutus. Inversely someone whom zealously believes in their goal to be the ultimate achievement would also be able to overcome Izanami.
In the end, I think Izanami is just another genjutsu that feeds on insecurity and indecisiveness of the victim. Nothing more or less.
Hmm, well, with that chapter ending it seems like Kabuto should survive and maybe do a heel-face turn.
It seems like the way Izanami creates the infinite loop is by the viewer watching/recording a starting point, specific middle details, and an ending point which is nearly the same as the starting point, and then activating it.
I wonder if Itachi will also use Izanami on Sasuke with his remaining eye. Maybe he's already set it up...
It makes you wonder why Itachi didn't just use that genjutsu on Sasuke at some earlier point, like shortly before he died...
