its actually how the steel is forged. unlike other techniques, Japanese blacksmiths use clay to balance the thickness and flexibility of the steel. too much, you won't make it sharp enough to slice. too little, it becomes almost brittle.
Okay I want FIGHT SCIENCE SPECIALS NAO!
Bring out the testosterone or something to that effect...
... Am now officially waiting for the RK DVD, so someone will sub it and I will break RA 10175 for it.
what's with the fight science craving nes?
Well in my quest, a friend of mine recommended Mark Dacascos' documentary on Miyamoto Musashi.
And it just all the more makes me so impressed with what Takehiko Inoue has done with Vagabond.
And now I want to read Sun Tzu's "The Art of War".
Man, these geezers know a whole load of shit.
yep. the story and art in Vagabond is something to behold. good luck sa art of war. maybe i should give it a try.
The art of war is short, it shouldn't take long. The length surprised me actually, its similar to Machiavelli's the prince in that sense.
It's like incredibly common sense, though (probably because I was raised by a soldier father).
And doesn't have a sex scene .
Yeah I was thinking of buying The Prince too about a year ago, but was confused about which book to buy exactly, because there are many different translations to the book, and the price ranges quite erratically.
Yea but its all the same. If you know a library that has it, you can just sit down and finish it in one sitting. Thats what I did. Its that short.
Im getting the travel bug really badly now, I want to leave and travel. Life is getting monotonous again.
If you've saved up for it, why not?
Did you ever remember Queen of muffins? She was like, only 18 years old and traveling all over different countries (I met her when she came to Cebu city). I wondered how she had the money for it and she told me she just worked for it, part-time, mind you, and from fast food joints and stuff like that.
I thought, wow, if you worked here in a fast food chain, you'd only earn 8-9 USD a day. Good luck saving for travel if you still need to eat and put a roof above your head.
any particular place you wanna go to, Imp?
he did say he wanted to visit southeast asia.
