Since the Shadow Beasts (Or Inju if you've preferred) are going to appear the next episode of the new anime, I want to get a confirmation on what they really are:
Are they real "beasts" who gained human intelligence like the Magical Beasts and trained in nen or real humans who were just labeled as "beasts"?
Worm looks like a freaky alien, Rabid Dog got sharp animal teeth, Leech got his... thing that unleashes leeches from his body, and one of them is a bat-like creature. I don't think they are real humans with these attributes.
They are Nen users. The Zodiac
1210 changed their bodies to please Netero, why not change your body to fit your fighting style?
Given Madhouse's color schemes for the Shadow Beasts, it seems as though they're all human. They probably Transmuted their own bodies to appear as the animals they represent.
true but they ARE called Shadow BEASTS. A hint, perhaps?
How do we know they aren't beasts transforming into humans?
I'm pretty certain they have only altered their bodies (extremely similar to what the Zodiac have done) and are indeed Nen users.
Rabid Dog is an Enhancer. He enhances his teeth to give himself those sharp fangs.
Leech is a Manipulator, allowing him to manipulate the many leeches he has stored within his body.
Porcupine is a Transmuter, allowing him to change the property of his body hairs into needles. Not physically changing his hairs (like Rapid Dog does to his teeth), but using his Nen to make them sharp.

The Shadow beasts new colors are fantastic. I've always enjoyed these characters, they're underrated.
They are probably human.Togashi tend to design characters that look non-human.
Look at bean and satotz.Bean doesn't even have a nose and satotz has no mouth!
Those injyuu were pretty badass in 1999. The 4 who fought Uvogin had their own theme. I wonder if we'll see more violence in this version though - a lot of stuff was censored in that fight.
Also, how big do you think the big bang impact will be this time 'round?
but hopefully it's not bad enough that it ruins the action. At worst I see it being like the 99 version except without the blood
on the side of the mafia guy's head when Uvogin breaks his neck (it's not there in the manga anyways) and not seeing blood
or brains when Uvogin bites off worm's half of head. We didn't see the brains in the 99 version but we did see blood there.
And also no Worm losing his eyeball.
Hopefully though Madhouse will figure something out because I don't want Yorknew or any other arc ruined by censorship.
I wish MH made a filler on how they bang the remaining Injuu...
Would be awesome if the incoming episode have only they apear before Uvo, thus ending in yet another cliffhanger Togashi style
Talk about something I would apreciate. Particularly if they don't cut anything else while doing so x~
