Well, I'm not sure why people are complaining.
Those last few chapters with the alian with many faces is 100% better than the last part of the last arc, IMO.
This is actually making me want to continue with Gantz, whereas I wanted to quit not so long ago.
I've very curious to see what will happen now that someone is actually attacking it.
^ Yeah the Taeksphere ruined Gantz XD, So its great to have chapters now that don't include Tae chan. But I think there is 3 of these Aliens and one is TAE chan. She will rick roll Kei1.
I don't think any of this is filler.
so far I'm enjoying every chapter.
The fact that everyone is getting mad and genuinely hating the god-aliens shows that Oku IS getting an emotional response out of the reader.
Everyone IS mad at seeing at least one of those people resurrected and discarded like trash, be it Old Man or Titz or Reika.
So everyone feels just like Kurono does right now: Doesn't matter if you ARE God, we're taking you down.
Some people might say being able to make the reader feel like the character is good writing.
I liked Reika like I (forgive me on bringing up a shounen series..) Hinata. Both hot and had a cute crush on Kurono. I like the idea of Kurono a no body loser at school dating a celeb. But thats just a side skit from the plot I enjoy it but gantz is awesome cause of the fights with aliens. I love the the confusion they all had in the first 5 missions.

Humans: (Completely abandoning their faith) WAAAAAAH!!!!
I don't believe in God, but I find it offensive that Oku writes everyone's faith as being that shallow.
Alien: Life is meaningless. You are nothing but matter.
Humans: (Ignoring the fact that the question of the meaning of life is the most fundamental question of humanity) WAAAAAAH!!!!
Alien: Human beings are things.
Humans: (Ignoring the fact that the ability to bring dead people back to life has already been shown and a better test would be to create an entirely new human from scratch with memories and personality) WAAAAAAH!!!!
Pretty sure Kei is going to live after he attacks the alien than come to reason. The aliens will send everyone on a final mission and if they can complete it than they will do anything that Kurono and co ask for.
Welp, Kurono 2 had a good run.
I wonder if the aliens know he's just a clone, and that's why they're taunting only him.
It would be interesting if these guys are convinced that humans have lives worth something and they react to it by annihilating humans who were revived or clones as they would be an affront to life.
I read all of this manga in short span of time so maybe I'm more forgiving then some of you.
Anyways, while the statements from the new aliens appear relatively banal and not entirely new it's understandable that it draws forth reactions so strong since it in some ways pretty much negates everything all the gantzers been through.
I mean, they've been constantly struggling and suffering desperately trying to keep themselves alive (how many times have we not seen Kuruno, Kato or Kazo repeating to themselves that they must survive?) but my guess is that what they finally hear now is something that they've been trying to ignore for a long time (except, as others have mentioned above, in the case of Sakata) but it finally sinks in now when they hear it from a seemingly omnipotient alien and a time of fleeting respite.
Or something like that.
