A-1 seems very hit or miss. AnoHana and Tsuritama were very good IMO (more slice of life/drama), but Magi was crap, and they kinda butchered Shin Sekai Yori.
I'm really hoping there'll be a remake down the road, like with Hunter. But that won't be until they relinquish or lose their rights to the material, probably. They should just stop now after they effed things up after Balbadd...
it took me forever to try this anime
it is amazing so far
1.The anime gets rather craptastic towards the end of the Balbadd Arc, afterwards it's more or less nonsense with some manga stuff fleshed in surrounded by unnecessar filler. Not like the filler are all that bad, someone who hasn't read the manga yet probably won't notice but for every manga fan it's pure fail Still a mystery why they changed so much, even with a sequel being planned
2. Alibaba isn't such a wuss. I could go mad all the time I see him in the anime, especially the later parts He's so angsty and unstable in the whole anime, while the manga Ali is pretty confident and cheery, except for a small part of the Balbadd Arc.
A-1 leaves out so much manga stuff anyway, so I assure you to read the manga from the start. Be sure, there's enough stuff you haven't seen yet or is entirely different in the anime.
Anyway, have fun! I wish I could experience Magi from the start again!
Magi second season in October. It's in french. It says it will air in October and only Magnostadt's arc will be animated.
Well well, seems like a tv anime and not a movie like many feared. Thanks for the info.
I hope they don't cut the mini arc of Aum Madaura... seriously, they really have no reason to skip it.
I also hope they pick decents openings. But more importantly, they have to keep Shiro Sagisu in the music department. This man established the perfect musical style for Magi and it would be a disaster to throw it away, like what was done in Hajime no Ippo (remarkable OST for the old anime totally forgotten in favor of a new one in the second season which doesn't compare at all).
And no changes in storyline please.
I may be having too many expectations which could easily lead into disappointment later, but I feel these are the sane things to do.
I do hope that they won't screw up the plot this time....
Still I'm quite excited to wath again Magi.
Only the Magnostadt arc? I hope that's not true, the things the lead up to the arc are essential in character development. I doubt it will be skipped but knowing what happened to the first season and A-1 Its kind of worrying lol.
I can't wait to see Scheherazade and the Finalis animated. As well as the characters from Magnostadt. Damn I can't wait to see them all!
Oh Magnostadt arc! I somehow fear this second season.
But aside from messing up the story line, I hope they have recruited new and good animators to fix this anime's shitty animation.

Looks like the news aren't correct
Magi Sequel to Premiere in October on Sundays at 5 P.M.
Great! So it's "as the cast departs" which makes it very likely we will have Aum Madaura as well, the arc is just too crucial for Hakuryuu.Quote:
Maybe it's allowed to have some faith now!
Finally some good news! I’m glad they won’t leave out the the events before the Magnostadt arc, they’re important to the storyline.
I’m looking forward to the sequel in October.
where can i find out how much and what parts of the anime are filler?
