I want to watch the series again (the new animation for the first time) but I need someone who has seen the original series and this new one to tell me if its really worth watching again. I guess I should say I will definetly be watching the Chimera ant arc but I don't know about anything before? Animation should be greatly improved but how is the show in general compared to other well animated adaptions?
If i'm correct i believe turtle means penis? Does that mean i'm an otaku?
Tomoko Mori is the animation director of episode 68!
Hope this time it's an episode with fights, ep 61 was kind of a waste of good animation.
Her animation is always welcome anyway.
I don't want to ignite the VS thread in the 2011 anime discussion thread, but I'll just say to each his own. I adore the 1999 series but I think the new adaptation is well worth watching.
They streamlined a lot of chapters into this episode(I think 5? 148-152) without losing the events that happened O.O Wow Makes sense though, after last week it would be a waste to lose the momentum of the arc after Genthru blew Nickes' group up l
They powered through
-Killua owning the Hunter Exam like a boss
-Phantom Troupe Business(Hisoka, Kurapika etc)
-Playing the game(Paladin's Necklace achieved)
-Setting up Risky Dice with Genthru and Killua
Biscuit and Gon were funny/adorable when they were trying to warn Killua about Risky Dice's effects

Another great episode. I personally like the pace MH is going because G.I. felt a little slow at times in the manga. Killua breezed through the Hunter Exam like a boss! Zepile was present in this adaptation but his inner Monologue was cut out. We got to see a ton of different cards (had to pause my video a couple of times just to read all of the card effects lol). Hisoka is back!
The short adventures with Biscuit, Gon, and Killua collecting cards was fun, especially the part with the risky dice (Killua sure loves his gambling ). Also I enjoyed the part with Genthru, and I thought his friendship with Sub, and Bara really shined at the end lol. Well anyways... I'm looking forward to next weeks episode.
One more thing... I forgot to mention... I saw Netero AGAIN!

Loved this episode, I am gonna predict right now that at this pacing we will probably see Ant arc begin in the mid 70s.
I love hearing Gon say 'Show me Rock!' excites me for a certain moment later on that manga readers know what im talking about.
I love the way they are handling Genthru here, they truly show that he cares for noone in the world besides his brothers in arms Sub and Bara.
Much like the Troupe, the bombers may do bad things but they care for one another deeply. It makes them human.
Great episode. I rewinded the video a lot just to relive many awesome moments. Killua owning 10 guys in one second being one of my favorite. Then there was seeing Netero again. Also loved how the scene with Bomber forcing those random players to roll the risky dice was handled. I didn't realize my first watch-through that rolling bad luck would not only hit you with all the luck you got but every good luck anyone's ever gotten on the dice. That bit of new info for me plus the music was excellently handled.
- Yeah that's right Tonpa. You better hide.
- Did MH add that electric effect with Killua jumping around? It's...kind of cool.
- I wish I could just point at someone and make spotlights appear out of thin air like that.
- If Shalnark had laughed like that in his debut episode, I can imagine everyone here all going wdf at his voice.
- Kurapika: |: (thinking) HAHAHAHAHHHAAAAHA
- Everyone, I think we should take this moment to commemorate a touching irreplaceable character of this series who will never be forgotten. Give it up for the guard!
- Palmtop Dragon sounds like an awesome card to make a magical girl anime's mascot.
- I like taking some funny screenshots from the episodes once in a while. And the ones with Gon/Killua/Bisuke are really piling up.
- GI Tutorial: Gon trolling Killua.
