Episode 48 :
^Pretty much. Though I liked Zepile's analysis of Gon.

Truthfully, I'd give it a 6. It's another mad rush to get to the Spiders. But I'm gonna hate on the Spiders and Kurapika instead. }
Stupid Phantom Troupe and Kurapika hogging all the screen time!!

....I haven't seen it yet...I'm worried now. So how much worse is it then the 1999 version of these chapters?
If you hadn't read the manga, would this episode be confusing? I am expecting the worst so I will enjoy it.

I liked how they economy those scenes. I mean, yes, it is interesting and all...But the Ryodan is what interest me the most. Not Kurapika, just to be clear :P
And also, it's a good way to focus a whole chapter on Zepile.
It wasn't the best chapter ever, but it's a nice transitional episode. 7/10. I really love to hear Zepile's analysis.
Next chapter is one of my faves and Nobu's reactions are on of my favorite dialogues in this arc.

Gotta love Leorio.
But remember! This is because the Phantom Troupe is hogging the spotlight!

Maybe they should "economy" the Phantom Troupe. }:/

They better not pull off this crap with Greed Island! I want every last darn panel in that!
I really liked this episode. Really I would have been bored if they spent more than one episode on this. Who cares if they cut scenes if it flows it really doesn't matter. Seriously not every page and spec of dialogue needs to make it in the anime. Zepile got his necessary spotlight.
Daww, cutting Phantom troupe stuff or Gon and Killua... I love the Phantom Troupe, so I'm conflicted...they're probably my favorite "group" of characters in the series, so I'm torn. So long as the condensed version makes "sense" especially for future scenes against Nobunaga, and they keep in Zepiles future cameo I'll be happy (I hated that the Greed Island OVA doesn't have Zepile taking the Hunter exam stuff). I think this adaptation (along with the 1999 one really) work pretty well in chunks, its just episode by episode it has missteps like this I guess.
But was it a need to change the place where He talks with that bald man? I mean, the purpose was to impress Gon. There or with other snob people doesn't actually change the scene and the ending line was actually cool. I liked how the baldy said "give up" and entered, it was a good way to remark how strong-willed Zepile is.
I'm sure He will be a fine Hunter someday.
And about economy stuff...I actually don't mind this cases, but I know many people do. I don't share the view, but I understand the point. Doesn't make the chapter horrible, though.
Except for the music placement. Always the music. ;_;
As an anime only watcher of Hunter x Hunter I enjoyed it alot. I thought the way they ended it with hunting for your dream worked very well as gon and killua run off to find the phantom troupe. Also does anyone like the bgm where Zepile talks about why he likes Gon? The music made the scene heartwarming imo.

It's not like it actually matters! Uvogin was a dead man from the beginning of the fight. Why not skip all that "boring fighting", stab Uvogin in the heart and
get a move on? Surely there are more interesting things than some silly revenge story.
I thought it was a pretty alright episode, though I really want to see the stalk and encounter already. Zephiles Eyebrows are awesome and I liked the economics talk.
Overall I'd give it a 7.5-ish score.
I just want to see next week, we may be seeing some episode 16, 35 tension here! maybe, though I should probably check the director first I suppose...
