One of the best episodes in my opinion. I truly felt every scene.
Hm, I suppose this as good a place as any to start discussion since its anime related, does anyone know if this HxH will get licensed? I know the previous series didn't sell well so I wonder if its chances are slim. I'd really love to own this series.
Viz already said they weren't doing it. The original flopped for them (even though it was their own fault for not promoting it -at all- and giving it such a limited print run).
Sentai hasn't picked up any ongoing series like this, nor any really lengthy series. They had Eyeshield 21, but stopped doing it after 50-ish episodes.
...and that about covers everyone. Discotek wouldn't do a long series like this, Media Blasters is dying, and Bandai is out.
My money is on Funimation. They have both animes based off of Togashis mangas (Yu Yu Hakusho and Level E). If they're willing to dub Toriko I can't imagine them ruling out HxH completely.
i think the biggest bonus we got from madhouse in this arc is sticking to show the dark side of HxH world, also they captured the feelings in this particular arc beautifully, which looks to me another big bonus, considering the ant arc which contains lot of emotions that needs to be captured exactly as Togashi puts it in his work.
the down side is omitting some side stuff, which i guess is acceptable, they want to up the pace and show some mainstream stuff as spiders and i don't think that they will do this again for the rest of the show.
FOr pics of Episode 59:
^ Nah, it's not just episode 59, but episode 60 as well.
^ Don't you see the jump preview of episode 60?
Some of the images posted by futurefrog take place after that jump preview image, so they can't be in episode 59.
