A lot of thoughts are flying in my head now...Going to have to rewatch it again.
Opening theme-I don't think we are going to see a new song anytime soon.Ging look different...
Though a bit spoilerish to me.
Closing theme-I like 'reason' despite it not being as awesome as the previous one.
But as with the op theme,it contain spoilers.
-I like that madhouse show that killua recognize his brother being there.Whereas he didn't seem to notice in the manga.
-My favourite has to be the phink and feitan part.
Overall,love this episode.
yeah for bisuke as new Kurta tribe member...no thats my only compalin, atr least make it brown if they gonna go on that color scheme... everything is fine.....
OMFG, the episode was great in so many ways! 11/10 =D
First of all, the opening, though spoilerish, it still gave me chills about the upcoming events.
Then the episode itself was just perfectly paced, and you know, maybe 3.5 ch/ep pacing isn't that bad.
+I loved Gon's steam moments xD They were really funny.
Ending was also great. It gave me chills the second time and I couldn't help but smile.
GI Tutorial is also a great idea.
Can't wait! Here goes GI
so that means we maybe are get to see the chimera ant arc next year with the pace the anime haves
I loved the new OP visuals. The different OP visuals had so far been very stylistically similar, I'm glad they changed it up. Gave the theme a whole new feel, and allowed me to experience the song in a new way.
I loved hearing the new ending theme come in for the final moments of the episode - I love when anime do that. >.<
The new ending theme has a whole new feel to it from the previous ones used. Very mellow (comparatively) and breathy. Its very much in the style of ending themes of Inu-Yasha and Fullmetal Alchemist, which I like, as those are my two favorite shows when it comes to EDs. While I loved what HxH did with its previous two EDs, I can easily see this one becoming my favorite.
I had never seen the old anime - except for a few episodes (just to see the fights) - and I've seen nothing of the old OVAs. I have to say, after The Invertroid posted it, I am in love with the first OP for the Greed Island OVA.
Very good episode, and with the new visual,Departure is really likable.I just hope MH won't skip parts like they did in YS
About the number of episodes,i think we will have 26 episodes at most.
Great episode, the new OP and ED are cool and really fits the atmosphere of upcoming episodes.
On a side notice, Wing told Gon not to follow Kurapika's method of getting a special ability through extreme oaths, and he thought Gon understood why this method is dangerous.
Overall, for me the greed island arc is what separates HxH from other manga and anime, it's a completely genuine arc that if released alone could lead to a very successful manga or series!!
@Notice to manga readers and old-anime watchers:
^What lasso said about GI
Can't wait to see the ep myself (and Shinobi-03's review) ^^
Just noticed another thing about GI-like arcs...
All of them have an
Srsly, HxH is an endless cycle.
Wow. As an anime only watcher i have alot to say. Where to start though is the question. As you all know, i hate Departure with a passion. WITH A PASSION but the new visuals made me actually enjoy the song. Crazy huh? I actually think it fits Greed Island better than Hunter Exams. Now if only we could have gotten other opening songs BESIDES Departure. Also, in the ending theme, is that Gons mother? o.O:
Also, why is Hisoka in the opening? lol. Is he stalking Gon and Killua? Creeper. No Kurapika and Leorio though, and Kurapika is my favorite character and apparently we don't get him back to one of the newest chapters so that makes me kinda unhappy, but Greed Island is looking to be awesome anyway and i can't WAIT. It just seems like the next 2 or 3 episodes ae going to be spent actually trying to GET to the game, which isn't very exciting i want some action NOAW
