Once again I'm reminded how awesome a Yu Yu Hakusho - Hunter x Hunter crossover would be.
I wants it bad.
A little off topic, but I wonder what the nen types of YYH's four main character's would be. If I had to guess, they'd be
Yusuke: Emission -Spirit gun FTW!
Kuwabara: Transmutation - His spirit swords are very similar to
Kurama: Manipulator - He manipulates plants
Hiei: ? - not entirely sure what Hiei would be.

Also, I can't wait for next week
I think the end of GI is one of my favorite parts.
So does anyone think we might see
I want to see the episode ending like GI OVA
GON AND MITO FREECSS ARE GOING TO BE AT A CON STATESIDE!!! ZOMG!!!
Shinobi,I wonder will you continue to review the anime? How will you proceed?
Seriously though, this episode (just like the one before it) was crazy awesome! Gon is insane, he won that battle like a boss! Gon vs Genthru was one of my most anticipated battles and Madhouse did not disappoint. I mean dat animation! I loved, loved, loved this episode. And as for the highlights:
- Gon's epic kick to Genthru's face.
- Genthru slipping and falling (lol).
- Gon putting the plan in action (i.e. the use of the timed cards).
- The beastly, final Janken.
- Genthru's surrender.
- Gon's raspy Osu (props to Megumi Han's voice work!).
- Breath of the Archangel (reminded me of the women in Leiji Matsumoto anime lol).
This episode was fantastic! I'll pretty much echo everyone else here, but the production team did a superb job portraying Gon's insanity, Genthuru's 'WTF' moments, and the overall fight. Megumi Han receives major kudos giving us a raspy Gon. There was definitely some censorship there, but it wasn't enough to irk me in the slightest. As always, it was done rather tastefully.
-I wish they showed Gon's throat more injured since I didn't realize his throat was actually damaged until I heard him speak. (EDIT: Ok, I rewatched that part, and Genthuru totally destroyed his throat. I must've blacked out during that part or something.)
-Goreinu is such a good guy
-When Goreinu refused to heal Genthuru's team, Killua brought up the point that he killed more people than them though Goreinu would heal him without hesitation. When I read the manga, and this may be due to translations, Killua doesn't mention anything about being an assassin. He only mentions he's killed more than them. I wonder if the episode was written differently to highlight Killua's change, but it seemed weird that he still considered himself an assassin--at least he did with the CR translations (could be an error). I think the interchange between Killua, Goreinu, and Biscuit was done more fluidly in the anime than the manga, though. Again, it could be due to weird manga translations, too.
(EDIT: I reread this part of the manga, and Madhouse did this part a little bit differently. If the translations I read are correct, Killua is indicating that he's killed more people than them. He doesn't mention anything about being an assassin, but that everyone who came to Greed Island was prepared to die, and that when he faces his opponents, he doesn't show mercy because of that determination. Because when he kills, he's ready to be killed as well. He says he's no different than the bombers. On the other hand, in the anime, he mentions he's an assassin, and then proceeds to say he's worse than them, although Goreinu is insisting that he's not. It's not all that different and a rather minute point, but regarding Killua's character, I prefer the manga representation of this scene. In Madhouse's representation, he appears to still hold on to his past--manga makes it appear that he's accepted it for what it is, and doesn't dwell on it.)
