When I read the description of HJ what came to my mind was an atmosphere similar to DGM's first chapter and I really hope a similar series would enter the fray, I think I would let it have a few more chapter before having an opinion but the premise sounds interesting.
Should be up in the next 24 hours or so, I'll make sure to let you know.
Reading this week's jump, I was pleasantly surprised by Retsu Date-Senpai. That first chapter I read was arse, but chapter 10? Yeah, it's a bit of alright, innit.
Not well-versed enough to get *all* the gags, but it had a good amount going visually. Wouldn't mind dusting off my editing skills and doing it as a project is there were any translations about.
the major changes to hj plot culd be the reason why he took so long to make it happen.
does the reborn anime start again after its ending? the last i saw was before the future arc, so i guess it wasn't successful enough to continue?
A promise is a promise...

Another new series I'm quite interested in, hoping someone gives it a translate, at the least.
But, uh, the big thing here is Koisome ending. It didn't misstep for me at all over its run, but then it didn't do enough to excite the masses, which in itself is wrong in the cutthroat world of jump. I'll miss it, and hopefully this week's final chapter ends it in a suitably heart-wrenching fashion.
Retsu's little boost didn't pan out, which is reminiscent of so many gag series in the... 07/08 period? was it? Where the series would yo-yo a bunch? Ah, someone'll know. And of course AssClass, Nisekoi, Kusuo and Haikyuu are doing well, so I'm pretty pleased. A good week, as long as I ignore the little hole it made in my heart
And there's goes Koisome Momiji. Down the road I wonder what will be next to go. Weird not seeing Reborn there.
Nice TOC. Looking forward to reading Rookie Policewoman Kiruko-san, if anybody gets chance to translate it. Hope it doesn't suck.

It is so weird not seeing Reborn! anymore on this TOC and kinda sad.
Anyways really happy especially for Ass class since its hasn't gone out of the top 5 in a long time. Heck when was the last time it was out? Naruto getting back in top 5 is not a shocker considering the fanbase.
Happy Bleach is within the top 10. Feel sad that the new series aren't as popular and stuck at the bottom but thats what happens when you go against the old gen with their established fanbase.
People have mentioned that it may be hard for Nisekoi to last a REALLY long time, given how simple its premise is. I guess we'll see how that pans out. It might expand to some new more complex plot at some point, we'll see.
Resu-senpai is retsu 劣 again.
I'll be happy to have a week off of translating Toriko. This week's has an enormous amount of text... And it's all kinda disconnected.
So Koisome Momiji ends right after Reborn. Now we're gonna have a run of new series coming in, I guess. Most people are suspecting HXH will come back pretty soon, since volumes 31 and 32 are coming out and the movie starts in January. Maybe that'll be among them.

I'm happy for Matsui though. Neuro was great but under appreciated. Good to see that AC is a runaway hit. I wonder how long it'll go with the sort of plot it has though? I imagine it could get more complex later, but how much more complex can it get, while remaining popular and most importantly itself is now is the question.
It IS weird to see no Reborn on the TOC. Though with the possible return of HXH upon us, I can't help but get excited about jump again. Rookie Policewoman Kiruko-san sounds like it could be interesting. I'd like to read the raws of it.
Wow toriko takes the top spot. Twice in 3 weeks already thats awesome. Hope it will continue since the arc is very interesting and the bishokukai have started moving again? Last week's last page was just awesome. Finally we get a decent looking female lol.
Toriko absent in final issue aww too bad. But 1st jump issue is not on 1st week of january? why do they like to do that way
Hope kurogane stays that way or get better. Is kochikame really that interesting? Its been there forever never really go up or down. No improvement or innovation. is the author the jumps owners son in law or something

It's the same in western publishing, there's about a month between pub. date and cover date. I seem to recall there's a pretty simple publishing related reason for it, but I'm buggered if I remember what it is. But it's pretty exact on the month ahead date thing, with the #1 issue coming out 3rd december
Koisome ends.. I kinda like that series to be honest, but I could tell that it won't last long because it offers only small amount of distinctive characteristics among other Jump series (or in simple English, very generic). Man, Retsu's popularity burst is very short lived. Kuroko continues to surpass Haikyuu even two months after the Anime ended is a surprise as well. AssClass is still on the top, so I don't have to worry about that .
Is Rookie Policewoman Kiruko-san a gag manga?
yeah but its very disturbing to see that @_@ i remember about the discussion on that as well was in previous toc thread. Some mags can tie together publishing date and issue so they could do that if they wanted to. It bugs my inner ocd much lol
