Shokugeki no Soma's kinda sticking out to me for not looking at all like a Jump manga. Which is totally in its favour, aside from the pretty underwhelming colours (too blatantly digital, maybe) and indeed the waste of of the opening pages. That has to be the most basic a jump manga's opening pages have looked in... a pretty long time.
This a table displaying all series. As you can see the color pages are in pink.
The average scores Zercomd sometime provides have always been calculated using all series either
Nice TOC! I'm glad to see the new series doing good
Nisekoi just below OP,which is incredible!
Initially I dropped Assassination Classroom in chapter 1, but then due to it's consistent good rankings and praises (and even good volume sales) I caught up with the latest chapter (it's pretty good)
And I wanted to know...does anyone know why scanlators stopped with Kusuo Saiki? It's too good and deserves it's standings! Completely liked it after reading till where the scanlators have stopped & also it's crossover with AC...I really wish it be continued scanlated
And more HxH is always welcome Hope the serialization resumes pretty soon.
Ah Nisekoi ranked 2nd. I knew the chapter which ranked this high would be the best cliffhanger ever in Nisekoi, but next week I predict the rank would drop, even though not much. Happy to hear HxH will come back again, I hope the serialization continues until more than 20 weeks.
I know Kurapika has been in color pages, covers, some quick cameo in chapters and in the last chapter or so published before last hiatus.
Also they should have just go ahead and a STRONG WORLD approach, releasing Hunter X Hunter volume 0!
Not really, at least with the kurapika one-shot Togashi has like 60 pages more for his next volume.
As for the new cooking manga, I have always wanted to read an old jump cooking manga.. can't remember its name though. IMO what is really, really important in cooking manga is character interaction and comedy, if it doesn't have those 2 things it will die soon, and we all know JUMP's survive race is though.
Just saw some images of the new cooking manga..
So its basically Yakitate Japan! but with orgasms? O__O
Hopefully the Main character never, ever,e~veer serves Shrimp to a man, I don't want another Hisoka-meets-Gon-after-long-time scene in my JUMP, if you know what I mean!

Okay, this should prove interesting. I can imagine JUMP is gonna have some PTA's on their asses with this series as there had complaints about less offensive/explicit stuff in the past.
Even though the genre makes it not up my alley I appreciate every new series that does not feel as tuned down.
Well I'm not sure it will interest a lot of people but since I made it recently,
all jump TOCs since issue 1 in one big excel file : http://www.sendspace.com/file/lvr1yu
I don't guaranty the 100% accuracy of the data but it shouldn't be to bad.
warning : because of the number of columns, it requires excel 2007 and it's quite long to open...
Just began reading the scanlations of PSI and love it. Its the first gag series which is really funny for me. The things that happened were often unexpected for me. I never got into Gintama and Sket Dance is nice but i never laughed at it. I hope that the gags won't get lost through the translation. lynxian, thank you for your great work.
November 12th - November 18th Jump Comic Sales
*1 -- *,202,066 2,390,625 *3 - ONE PIECE 68
*9 -- *,*53,134 *,261,509 *3 - Assassination Classroom 1
25 -- *,*25,958 *,180,161 *3 - SKET DANCE 27
Since I'm doing what zeromcd usually does, I may as well add this too: Bakuman. #1 sold less than 24,457 in its third week.
it is INSANE that AssClass has now broken past a quarter of a million. I mean it deserves it, but I could never have predicted such a feat. If it continues to build on this then we could be looking at the series that'll pick up the slack as the previous generation of smash hit titles continues to wind down in the coming years.
Or it could somehow screw all that up. It happens.
