That "Madara chose Obito" means that Madara decided not to kill him, he decided to use him for his plan. He 'chose' Obito because he probably noticed that he survived those rocks using an incredible jutsu. Obito clearly used Kamui for slipping away from the rocks, not even Madara understood how Obito survived. That's when Madara chose him, he noticed that Obito was special and that he could have an incredibly powerful mangekyo.
He couldn't teleport away. I think Konan and Tobi explain why Izanagi was used.
Tobi never gave the paths Sharingan, that's just a part of the jutsu he used.
In any case, I can't wait to see the explanation Kakashi has. We know Obito didn't completely snap because Kakashi's still alive, he was probably waiting for Kakashi to explain, I guess? Or just completely gave up? Eithe rway though, Obito is a shit character now, and completely ruined Tobi.
With kakashi awakening the MS when he was a child, not just the plot/timeline but even itachi's statement in vol 29 when kakashi asked him about blindness. Also, he hadn't even noticed that he did have the MS when they met in vol16
My bet is Kakashi and Rin as well as all the other ninjas there are white zetsu clones. That whole scene was orchestrated so that Obito would stay with Madara. There is no way Kakashi and Guy can beat Tobi. So Tobi is going to get the upper hand in the fight. He is going to confront Kakashi, and Kakashi is going to tell him he didnt kill Rin, and thats going to mess with Tobis head, he will find out the truth, and will then join Naruto to fight Madara.
White Zetsu's can't awaken mangekyou sharingan's that's my guess. You can argue they can use jutsu but not a mangekyou sharingan that would just be too much. For one it would require that Madara knew what Obito's mangekyou sharingan would look like. I'm hoping Rin get's up in a few days as an Edo Tensei and proceeds to fight Obito not of her own will.
The last part of what you said would give Kakashi credit not obito. If Kakashi was to thank for the Mangekyo obito would have unlocked while jumping through the trees, because Kakashi at that point would have been experiencing the trama.

look on his face. the exact time he unlocked the Mangekyo doesn't matter. he can't and won't, by his own words, acknowledge what has happened.
If he won't acknowledge what happened, then he can't have felt the emotions required to unlock the Mangekyo. Kakashi's face shows he was feeling a lot of emotional pain as well, so he could have been the one to unlock Mangekyo.

It has nothing to do with bias... don't know where you got that from. But the way Mangekyo was said to be unlocked, I'd naturally assume it was Kakashi who unlocked it. Though, I understand what you mean now, and actually think your version is more accurate.
