If I don't take an anime seriously how can I indulge into the show and the feelings it (wants to) deliver?
To be honest if I would rate the lastest game and the Anime with the same scale... The Anime would get a 6 and the game a 8.
It lives from 4th wall breaking. At least in the game... The Anime is really good at that too but yeah...
You wouldn't like it.

Hmm... That is something I don't know. I don't indulge into shows. I don't want them to deliver any feelings to me, though it happens on its own in drama series. But a true comedy (not just a story with comedy element here and there), plot isn't something you can talk about.
Now that is the explanation I was hoping for
Figured as much. I can still appreciate (utter) nonsense but then it has to be special in some kind of way, like Kill La Kill. Neptunia looks looks too similar to all the other slice of life girlie shows out there. Some good dialogue, cute/hot girls, funny moments/lots of jokes, not much of a plot. Nothing wrong with that but I've seen enough of that kind of show, so I either need to watch it when it's first released (when I can just spend 20 minutes each week and get a bit entertained) or need a good reason beyond the usual to watch it afterwards

@Haku like I said, plot isn't a necessity but something I place very high value on. A very good plot and story is so hard to deliver, so I just appreciate it that much. Nothing better than lots of unexpected plot twists, an epic and fascinating story, and great character development. That's not to say I can't enjoy shows with pretty low focus on plot, like Hanasaku Iroha. Absolutely loved the show, but it's a different kind of love to me.
Neptunia is a bit different. But it's really difficult for me to differ between Anime and Game... Because I loved the game and the Anime didn't really deliver...
Apart from the sad scene... In the game they made a joke, in the Anime it was just...
Well anyway... Kill la Kill!
Well that's another reason, game adaptions seem to fail pretty hard usually
Obviously it does not apply to a comedy show, yeah I wanted to say I prefer series with strong plots over pure comedy. Comedies can be great but they can't deliver the same awesomeness to me. So yep, I think we just prefer different kind of shows.

Reminds me of Umineko. God damn, I need more time
My life is a dull one, onii-san. So I need to laugh when I watch an anime.
Hence.. All hail full moe blast!
Speaking of tenshi..
Taiga, the Queen of Tsundere. She is in my top 5.
Well, about anime with plot or not I'd say that it depends on what you're expecting from this anime. I have favorites in both "categories", there is moments that I want to see somthing with a deep plot that makes me think, and others I want to see something refreshing just to laugh,
ohters is just to see cute girls XD
