I nominate Code: Breaker for most disappointing of 2012. The animation could be better, the character designs need some work, and the fact that it diverged from the manga basically from episode 1 is a complete letdown.
I nominate K because of the wasted talents of the voice actors and little to no action at all. The plot was also lame. It really had so much potential.
i second K, man i was expecting something at the level of Durarara/Baccano from that one

My first nomination goes to Guilty Crown.
So much hype around the series and all we got was a clusterfuck the story totally went out of hand after the first 10 or so episodes, so much that even the great animation couldn't save it. There probably are worse series but Guilty Crown is the perfect example of how a totally hyped and anticipated series can fail this much
I'm going to nominate Eureka Seven AO as the most disappointing series in 2012. I know every anime has its own flaws, but considering that I really like Eureka Seven, this sequel was a huge disappointment for me because of its kind of random plot at the end.
Zetman (What the hell just happened)
K (Wasted Talent)
Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine (Great Start, but plot went Haywire)
Support Code:Breaker. I'm not someone who'll get disappointed at any manga or anime so easily, but that one really killed it...in all ways possible.
I nominate Sword Art Online, it had really a good start and Kirito is a good character but interactions are really annoying.
Sword Art Online. Too many episodes wasted on side stories, too little time spent exploring Aincrad. The love story was very well done, otherwise a mediocre fantasy title.
K, it was a turd.
I support Sword Art Online nomination.
Alfhein KILLED it for me.
I support the Zetman nomintion.
I nominate Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You. The fanbase have been begging for an adaptation of the Greece arc for the past four years and we finally get a third season, but what do we get? Filler. Techincally canonical filler because it takes place in a possible future the mangaka wants to explore when the manga gets there, and as a result skips the story everyone wanted to get animated, and skips the introduction of several new characters from the manga yet still appear in this anime.

Sword Art Online
I nominate La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia (why, just why?)
I nominate Medaka Box (the first season, not the second season. The second season is awesome, but the first almost made me drop it)
I nominate Rock Lee (What did they do to my favorite character? Alot of the personalities don't match up half the time and it stopped being funny 7 episodes in, yet it's STILL ongoing)
