I am willing to watch it but i will wait till the subs are completely up, i can´t speak Korean.
The cast looks good though, i liked Jin Goo in 26 years and Mother, Park Ha-Sun was really sweet in Champ and The Last Blossom and Han Chae-Young is one of my favorite actresses since Changing Partners.
Just watched the first episode, the main cast is rather good. The acting is good and they are obviously all attractive, especially the two female leads. The setting is good even if its not really innovative. The hard working optimist who comes from a bad background and has to work his way up, the first female lead who profits from his genius and supports him at the same time, the second female lead who betrayed him and of course the "perfect" second male lead are characterizations that have all been done before, even in this constellation, but the important thing is that the actors in this drama can carry it, at least for teh first episode.
I like that the protagonist is not just optimistic for the hell of it, he understood that despite all the amount of different marketing theories (those who study business know what i am talking about), it is still important to actually address the intended demographic and Tae-Baek seems to know how to do that. The female lead is very cute, honest and likeable but she seems to have "hidden" past, considering the man who was watching her (probably something like an illegitimate daughter or something). I think the actions of the second female lead are a bit drastic (discarding all her past, including her bf and even her name) but i will wait to stamp her as "bitch" till i know the entire story. The second male lead is a bit blunt to be honest, i hope the guy can improve his performance.
Also I think you've hit it right on the head with your analysis. The male protagonist comes of a bit stiff rather than the stoic or cold type I assume they were envisioning? I'm not sure...
I'm wondering what made the female protagonist lead the change
On to episode two - when the subs get added.
Well, to be honest the summary wasn't really that interesting, and I don't know the cast except Han Chae Young because of her play in Delightful Girl Chun Hyang.
