Hardly. Next Chapter she wipes her foe out
Not Yet, it's far from done
Yeah, and good riddence
I'll wait for Galatea's opinion
Claymore 134- The Troops of Hades- Review
Hello everyone. I would have done this review sooner, but for two things. One, my internet connection has been very slow. Two, Borderlands 2. Anyways poll results. Not a one of you that Galatea would be better, or that the awakened would be only a little help. Five felt they'd just get wiped out. Six figured they'd be some help, and eight figured they'd turn the tide.
Charge of the Awakened-
We start out with all the female awakened surrounding Cassandra. Octavia isn't too impressed by the ghosts failure to stop Cassandra. On AB gets nommed by a Cass head, but that's okay. Her awakened form is basicly a big ball of blades. I wonder if she had a quicksword type fighting style? Well since Claire can't regenerate legs if they get bit off she shouldn't be copying that trick. Although Claire did see it happen, so who knows. Next we have a sorta mannish looking Awakened who seems to be just changing her arms for good old fisticuffs. And then... Uh... OK I guess someone must have bet Yagi he couldn't come up with a more disturbing awakened form than Cassandra's, and he took up the challenge. It seems the flytrap one is more of a vagina dentitia. And honestly I don't know how Yagi got away with that image in a Shonen manga. Also how the hell did she get the dress to split so nicely? I don't even see any tearing! Anyways some more of the AB's transform, but lets face it, out of the rank and file that was the one we're going to remember. Anyways the watching Octavia realizes that no matter how many of the heads they destroy, it won't matter to the main body. Also her thinking face is almost cute enough to make you forget she eats peoples guts. But now she realizes that the Ghosts don't suck as much as she thought, Cassandra really is that tough. And now she's going to awaken herself. And damn she's got a cool awakened form. A humanoid torso ridding on a monster horse. Some people have compared her to a certain archer from Berserk. Or said she's a combination of Isley and Riful. Well that's the horse part, what about the wild part of “Wild Horse Octavia?” She turns her arms into whips and starts hitting everything around, that's whats wild. This isn't just Cassandra, it seems that Octavia is just as likely to hit her allies. I don't know if she just doesn't aim well the the technique, or if she just doesn't care. Whatever the case is, the ghosts decide to move back for the moment, rather than get hit, since they can't tank as well as the awakened. I suppose Claire with her sensing ability might be able to safely navigate, but it'd be too big a risk for the others. The good news is that this enables the synchronization team to start really pushing on Cass, and maybe they'll even be able to free her from Priscilla's control.
Well my guess is no. But as it stands “Riful” is beating the hell out of her. From the looks of things Priss hasn't even gotten a hit in. Of course that means nothing. It's Priscilla. Her fights generally consist of her seemingly taking a ton of damage and then just regenerating and shredding her foe. Even though it looks like her head is coming off, I wouldn't say it's over. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Priss can recover from that. Also it would be unsatisfactory storytelling if anyone but Claire was the one to kill her. So my guess is next chapter things turn around on that fight.
Winner of the Month-
Octavia. Seems she's getting serous, and she's actually stopping Cassandra.
Lol if you think the female genital-looking AB is not very shounen-friendly, you should see To-Love-Ru from Weekly Shounen Jump, which is effectively porn for the underage, or the constant perverted jokes from Gintama... (I'm surprised they're still publishing lol, judging from a Western standard, or for that matter, non-Japanese) Claymore is totally in the safe zone, comparatively XD
I totally agree man, Octavia deserves the winning title. She's got the attitude and everything!
Nice review as always, Octavia is the real winner here - she takes everything liek a total badass and even gives praise to Ghosts.
As for Priscilla part.... we all know that it's only going to end in tears for Riful doll.
Priscilla had a bored expression on before and after having her head ripped off which may be a hint that she could regenerate from her body from her head.
Super Angillis I gave this chapter a rating of 9/10 on my anime4review blog what rating would you give the chapter?

I'd give it an 7. Nothing really bad, but nothing that rocketed it up to a 9. Art was good, but there wasn't anything really jawdropping. Story wise the plot didn't advance, it's just another phase in a fight. I don't give out 10's easy either.
It wouldn't be very shocking if Priscilla regenerates her body from her head as she has shown she can near instantly heal. If she do this then to beat Priscilla it would be vital to destroy her head rather then to chop if off.

And that's assuming she can't move her organs and vitals around like some of the other awakened have. Also don't forget it's not just Priss, it's the destroyer too. That thing just seems to be a blob of Yoki, so ripping a head off wouldn't do much.
Funny how you mention how cute Octavia is when she's thinking, but forget about her very creepy smile onthe next page.
