I had a huge crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar. And when they added Eliza Dushku to the mix, my teen mind went crazy.
It's basically with this show that I started to learn english. I was watching it on the bbc & I didn't understand that much at the beginning.
Plus, the show had many enjoyable characters: Spike was often hilarious, it was easy for a teenage boy to relate to xander, Willow was the poor fragile thing who evolved & then there was angel (the spinoff is good by the way, I especially like the generic played with the violin).
Good times, I agree. I used to watch the show often.
Have a particularly favorite episode or season Zellogan ?
Season 2 & 3 for me. Spike & Drusilla as ennemies and then faith & the mayor. After that, the quality isn't as good IMO. Angel is gone & there is Riley. I didn't like that much that whole "army" story.
I just rewatched all 5 seasons of Angel over the past few weeks...the show is still enjoyable after 10 years.
I find it impressive how they managed to take a totally shallow and douchy character like Wes from Buffy and turn him into an interesting and likable character.
Wesley - "A lot's happened. Not just Angelus. I've been ... I've changed. I've seen a darkness in myself. I'm not sure you'd even begin to understand ..."
Willow - "I flayed a guy alive and tried to destroy the world."
Wesley - "Oh. So ..."
Willow - "Darkness. Been there."
Wesley - "Yeah. Well, I never flayed. I had a woman chained in a closet."
Willow - "Oh, well hey!"
Wesley - "No, it doesn't compare."
