Info 2017 Anime Awards Information Thread

Is cour a foreign word for season?

Anyway I like the smaller 12-24eps set up, it seems like better quality. That said, if a series have the potential to smash out 70 episodes of quality in a row, then I'm fine with it.

1 Cour is generally 12 or 13 episodes, so in any case it's a fancy way of saying "anime season"

Maybe for One Piece and Fairy Tail, if they're out of the Anime Awards perhaps in their own Awards they can have a few categories for anime only? And in these anime awards, maybe "Best long-running anime" can be an award?

And the Anime Awards 2017 are back with it's first round of semifinals!

Below are the rules for the first round.

Round 2 voting Rules

• The nominees in each group will fight against each other in a 1vs1vs1 combat
• You can only vote for one (1) nominee
• You are allowed to change your vote
• This round will last for 5 days per group

To give you an idea of how things will proceed from now on: We divided the nominees in Group A and B. First you will decide the winner of Group A, when that's done Group B will compete in every category. The two winners (the first in Group A and the first in Group B) will have a final showdown deciding the winner.

You are free to share what/who you've voted for in the thread too, discussing with others always makes it a more fun event!

Hey, 2 Nomination were eliminated by random to ensure 6 semi finalists , sinbad was one of them wich doesn't seem correct, since it did had 3 nominations, it seems this was overlooked, we added sinbad into Group B, and removed konosuba, wich did had 2 nominations only. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for pointing that out.
